At 93-95 he's going to have to get ahead of hitters the second time around the lineup

Lots of good in a complete team win, but a moment of extra recognition for Hagen "K-gen" Smith: After his 4 walk debut, Smith has allowed just 6 walks in the 14 innings since, dropping his season WHIP to 0.940 (0.786 if excluding the wild debut).

He has a 12.94 K/9 and a teeny tiny .096 BA allowed.

His 37.1% strikeout rate is top 10 for pitchers with 10+ IP this season, ahead of guys like teammate Grant Taylor, old friend Dylan Cease, and division foe Cade Smith.

This was also win # 75 oh the season likely surpassing pre season predicted win totals of many. Will pass mine, too. I just cant remember if I predicted 75 or 76. Be happy !

Couldn’t really watch the games this weekend due to being up north in a secluded area with family for the holiday weekend but have been following along when able and hoo boy, this sure is getting exciting. Starting to really look forward to attending my first ever White Sox postseason game. Really, my first post season game ever. Cannot freaking wait.

Brazoban is rehabbing down in Charlotte; another fresh bullpen arm could be coming up to help down the stretch.

This bullpen game also accomplished some very important thing for those who didn't like this game using relief pitchers before the game started.

1. Burke will start the series opener against the Pirates with 2 extra days of rest.

2. Now he will likely start the crucial 1st game of the series against the Guardians for those who were worried about our lesser starting pitchers getting those games.
