Thanks for the 3-0 swing. Also, Jason is 100% right, that was an awesome inning to watch all around. -

Except they aren't, they play in the AL Central, and they were ranked No. 2 in the latest MLB Power Rankings, you enormous turd. -

Haven't seen a lot of the Jays this year and excited to watch them for a few days, should be a fun series. -
Except NO ONE, ever, has played the game to win by one run. You play to score as many runs as possible.

In 2021, this statement is like, 104% incorrect. How are you so bad at this?
-
I think baseball, the media and the fan base is in a MUCH different place than they were in 1997. Rebuilding or "being bad on purpose" is way more accepted today then it was back then. Additionally, the idea of them selling was talked about for almost this entire offseason. Lastly, the media landscape is so much different with the internet, with so many voices out there, opinions can be formed in a much different way. Even in 1997, if a few beat reporters and columnists killed the move...that basically shaped the entire narrative. It's not the same in 2021. I also think you have much smarter people in the media to give a more nuanced opinion.

I don't have a ton of die hard Cub fans in my circle, but the few I do have all said they looked at this year as a rebuilding year and realize 2021 isn't going to result in a World Series, so start the process. Now I know a ton of people won't embrace that idea and want to see Rizzo-Bryant-Javy-Contreras all stay forever but I do think if they fall in the standings a bit and aren't in first place by July 31, they can get away with trading a few core pieces and not get totally killed by the fanbase. We'll see.
-
They have a long way to go until the trading deadline. However, if they are still in first at that point....they'll get destroyed if they trade KB for prospects. But I think they can pull it off with the fans even if they are 2-3 games out. Because I think this was the plan the entire time.....Jed anticipated re-stocking the farm with a few of these trades and I think the future becomes a lot harder for them if they "go for it" in 2021.

Limit of 13 pitchers back in place next season...

I watched this last night, and never saw it when it was released last month. I think it's a really interesting watch. -
He lead off the 8th with a walk and gave up a base hit the inning before, it wasn't like he was having a heat check or something. And I don't know what "Miggy cheating" even means, but the fact is the Tigers had 4 straight RH coming up and you know you're facing a very shaky Tigers pen. If Hendricks was able to pitch (which obviously we know he was) he should have been in there for the 9th. I have zero idea what you are saving him for there, and Jason and a former Cy Young winner were asking the same thing.
-
Billy Hamilton made a catch probably 1/10th of CF make on a ball Miguel Cabrera smoked off of Crochet in the 8th that would have given the Tigers the lead. I'm not squinting. Neither were Stone and Benetti,

No discussion of Crochet/Hendricks? Something both announcers seemed totally perplexed by?

I hate you ?

Such a perfect example of the Sox talent overcoming just stupid decisions by LaRussa. And the stans either won’t notice or say “Who cares, they got out of the inning!” But we all know the issues are much deeper. -

I have to say....the meatball in me absolutely loves Lance Lynn. The smart fan in me also loves his numbers. I understand he's 34 and he's got some miles on him.....but I agree, I'd like him here for 2022 and 2023. -
