Tim has had his head in his ass most of this season, so that checks out.

Correct. The same way Grandal or Cease aren't OF's. He shouldn't be out there.

The Sox are going to acquire Whit this season, aren't they?

I've been told none of this matters because he's only doing it in April, those games aren't really important to the Sox, they have the division locked up. ?

Not many would disagree with that. But again, that's not what you said. You've been VERY vocal in your support of the Sox. That's fine. You do you. I can disagree and we can go back and forth, but that's what makes the world go round. What I take issue with is the idea that if people complain or upset with the Sox, they should just stop watching and do something else. 1. People can do anything they want and 2. More importantly, that's not what being a "fan" is. Your team should be there for you. Yes, when the Sox aren't playing well, there are long stretches during the season where I only might watch an inning or two and then move onto something else. It doesn't mean I'm not going to be upset when I look at my phone and see they lost 6-0 and have lost 8 straight. I can still log onto Soxtalk and discuss it. The picture you've painted is "Enjoy the White Sox when they are good, but when they aren't, you shouldn't watch or be invested! Only come back when they are good!" If all Sox fans took that advice they'd have fans for like, 12 weeks out of the year. Additionally, living in a major market, I expect more out of my teams. This isn't Pittsburgh. We don't live in Kansas City. Sorry, but when the off-season is 6 months, and the season started about 20 days ago, I take issue with a "fan" already telling us to turn them off if they frustrate you. Fuck that. Get better. Do better. Play better. How about we all raise the collective expectation level around here, instead of taking your attitude of "Welp, if ya don't like the White Sox, just don't watch, mmmm'kay?"

So what you're suggesting is fans just show apathy, and only become emotionally invested when the team is good?- Old Sock Drawer, ex Sox player discussion

Time to watch the last few episodes of Severance….- TLR 2022 Thread
Sorry, but everyone is responsible for this. Jerry, Kenny, Rick and Tony. They are all in this together, I don't care who didn't want TLR or not. It just creates more drama and in-fighting with this shit.- 4/26 Games
Is there a belief Yolbert could get playing time at 2B for the Sox this season?- What The Actual F# Is Wrong With This Team?
FO is a way different discussion. That has a huge impact, from the lower levels on up, in my opinion. I was only talking about a major league coaching staff, but I know the poster you were quoting mentioned FO.- What The Actual F# Is Wrong With This Team?
I've pretty much always believed it comes down to 95% player execution. Tim has made like 1000 errors to start the season. That's on Tim. He is a professional, he's been here before...make the play. Even if you were to hate your manager or something along those lines, you can still field your position. Coaches, both hitting and pitching, at least provide you with a gameplan and what they want you to execute on. It's on the player to actually execute. The issue I have with TLR, like many us of do, is the items he actually is responsible for, the items that do fall on him.....he seems to fail at. The whole "having his team ready to play" I think is mostly nonsense. There is probably some impact here and there but mostly I don't really buy into that line of thinking, again the players need to execute.- What The Actual F# Is Wrong With This Team?

I would check on the availability of Craig Kimbrel.- Would you rather . . .
Surprised by some of the responses here. No one is wrong, just surprised. I'd ask this question to the group after seeing some of the comments: You're told from 2022-2026, the Sox will win the World Series one time, but not make the playoffs in any other year. Or, the Sox make the playoffs every year from 2022-2026, but you know they don't win the World Series. What's your choice?- Would you rather . . .
I feel like people aren't understanding the question here. Yes, making the playoffs is always better than not making the playoffs. But the question specifically states the Sox lose in the first round (for the 3rd year in a row.) The question is worded specifically so there is no "Well if you make the playoffs, you never know what will happen!" We do know what will happen, and that's them going out in the first round again. And as @flavum said, at that point it's the same as not making the postseason at all, so if means TLR gets canned.....the option seems easy.- Promotional Giveaway Days

It won’t for about 99% of the fan base. The poster in question is someone who blindly defended TLR no matter the circumstance last year. Only now, when you have team-affiliated post game show hosts actually calling out the manager are the LaRussa Stans finally waking up.- TLR 2022 Thread
