How likely are the A's to trade away Reddick after they JUST traded Moss? Kinda get the feeling, the Sox will only get Samardzija.

All I can say is if they are going to trade Danks, they better have a good plan for a #2 or #3. Danks may be expensive but he's a good back end of the rotation pitcher.

The Cubs are about to sign Jason Hammel and now each Cub fan on Twitter thinks Jon Lester is a lock for their rotation... The winter meetings have officially started.

I don't think the Sox would have tendered Tank to give him away from a bag of dog crap... With that being said, I hope they get a better option in LF or RF and get him the hell out of here. I'm fine with Melky, Aoki and talking myself into Rasmus...

@Ken_Rosenthal: Melky wants 5 years, according to exec from club with interest. Sound crazy? Cruz, 34, and Markakis, 31, each got 4 years. Melky is 30.

The BlueJays GM just confirmed that Melky Cabrera will not be coming back via Barry Davis.

Quite frankly, I think we are all analyzing this potential Shark deal, far too much. I think it died down as fast as the stove heated up. I would guess Hahn isn't willing to part with Anderson and a guy like Beck for one year of him. Beane has lost his ass the past few trades minus the Lester deal and it seems like he looking to make up for that while trading Samardzija this time around.

Welp, sure seems like Jim Benson was full of s*** or jumped the gun on his original tweet Friday night... Hate getting myself overly excited for absolutely nothing to happen. Ultimately, it seems to be better if the Sox don't trade valuable pieces for a 1 year rental when they could get something similar for simply money on the FA market.
