I don’t think it’s that uncommon for guys to make tweaks here and there trying to improve some area of their game that creates unforeseen problems. I’m guessing that what happened here, and they decided whatever benefits came from the new arm slot were negated and eventually just scrapped the change. Just my best guess.

I had said Antonacci, but maybe Meidroth can do it. It’d be nice to not have to move Colson off short every time Vargas isn’t available at 3rd.

I seem to remember him throwing harder earlier in the season, but losing velo as the game progressed. He’s been more consistent in the same 92-96 range his last few starts. I’m guessing you’re right and he’s dialed it back.

I’d like to see them put Ant at third for the remainder of the game.

Hagen velo ranged 92-96 it looked like. Mostly parked at 94. Not awful, but disappointing.
