You don’t trade for your top prospects for Mason Miller, the best closer in baseball, to convert him into a SP project in years where you plan on contending. None of it makes sense imo

On the topic of B. Smith, great interview with him on the latest FutureSox podcast. Really thoughtful young fella, and Elijah Evans has really improved his interview skills.

I’m not expecting much from Thorpe this year, but I do think he’s interesting in the long run. Great news about Teel. I didn’t think it was as serious as an Achilles tear, but I also didn’t think we’d see him again this season.

Ankle seems like a positive development.
