  1. They should really keep him in case of the 11th
  2. One day earlier. July 30. And no waiver deals afterwards anymore either.
  3. Yeah, hard to say. So much can happen. An extra bullpen arm would be a nice add. I expect they’ll target someone like grossman or peralta, too. Just a guess I have no inside info with the Sox. with Vaughn, I’m not sure have a big enough long-term hole that would justify dealing him.
  4. It’s a good problem to have for sure. But by the time we need to worry about it, who knows. The way things are going Yas will be in cf.
  5. I wonder if it’s a result (on the batting side) of a patient lineup, which we are for once. Lots of close pitches taken leaves a greater opportunity for missed calls. The teams getting hosed the most are all pretty patient.
  6. Chitownsportsfan made a good point that he missed a couple mistakes. Didn’t hit anything hard. I would add that most of the balls weren’t really competitive pitches either. I’m rooting for the kid and think it’s more of a rookie slump than condemnation of his talent, but it wasn’t a great showing. To me he looked, for the first time I noticed anyways, exasperated. Obviously I have no idea what’s going on in his head, but I think a day or two might do some good. If not, fingers crossed he crushes it
  7. A day or two might be good. He had some good AB’s the last game against CLE, but didn’t look great last night. You can tell he’s getting in his own head a bit.
  8. It’s kinda funny in itself because some here are too young to get the joke about him being too old
  9. I was still borderline worried about the Twins until now. I think they’re toast. Just us and the team from Cleveland
  10. It’s Charlotte. Ryan Goins was a slugger there. Sheets’ walks are down, strikeouts up, BABIP is sky high, and he’s not good in the outfield (at least yet).
  11. Some people post irrational things because it’s cathartic
  12. Haha I dislike each of the teams you’re fond of more and any one listed rival. I’d say Twins, Royals, Indians, Tigers, Cubs.
  13. Yeah, that definitely part of it. To me the timing mechanisms he uses in his swing are a little off, too. He’s a little late planting his front foot. That said, he hit two balls really well today and got a little unlucky.
  14. https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/9540/situational?selectedTable=0&season={"name":"ALL_SEASONS","season":"","seasonPhase":"REGULAR_SEASON","groupedBySeason":false,"requiredPhase":"season.phase.regular","displayName":true} For his career he’s been significantly better with men on base. Tonight was bad, though.
  15. Would be nice if they can get the game in tomorrow facing Eli Morgan.
  16. He didn’t have good command. They also scored two runs on infield singles after a strike out could have ended the inning. He didn’t pitch well, but better than his line might suggest.
