I've said it a billion times, but I still think Fulmer could be a solid reliever. If he can somewhat command his pitches, he should be good enough to pitch an inning at a time out of the bullpen.

It makes zero sense. Harper would be way better off taking that original 300MM offer from the Nationals than going to the Cubs for 3 years.

That would be ideal, but it's hard to envision a scenario in which Machado doesn't get the opportunity to bail out at some point if he so chooses. I would be ecstatic if they could do what you said though.

That's just one scenario. It applies to any situation.

I also think we would see a lot of phantom injuries to circumvent the rule if this were to happen.

Let's say the Sox are winning by a run in the 9th inning. Alex Colome comes in to close it out but clearly doesn't have it that day. Walks the first hitter on four pitches. Do you really want him to have to face two more hitters because of an arbitrary rule that says he has to in order to speed up the game by a couple minutes? It makes zero sense.

It hasn't been fun for me since about mid December. It's just been stressful and annoying since then.

I get that they're trying to speed up the game but a 3 batter minimum rule would be absurd.

Baseball has been played the way it is now for well over 100 years. Why does it need to change now? How can anyone possibly think a 3 batter minimum for relief pitchers is good for the game?

I don't want anything to change. Those who don't have the attention span should watch something else.

He's been more or less saying that the Sox are the favorites for several weeks now and nothing has happened. Then again, I guess it's not his fault if the market is moving at a snail's pace.
