  1. He's gotta be tweeting this trash just for attention at this point...
  2. That would be ideal, but it's hard to envision a scenario in which Machado doesn't get the opportunity to bail out at some point if he so chooses. I would be ecstatic if they could do what you said though.
  3. I hope there's a swell-opt if this gets done
  4. That's just one scenario. It applies to any situation.
  5. I also think we would see a lot of phantom injuries to circumvent the rule if this were to happen.
  6. Let's say the Sox are winning by a run in the 9th inning. Alex Colome comes in to close it out but clearly doesn't have it that day. Walks the first hitter on four pitches. Do you really want him to have to face two more hitters because of an arbitrary rule that says he has to in order to speed up the game by a couple minutes? It makes zero sense.
  7. It hasn't been fun for me since about mid December. It's just been stressful and annoying since then.
  8. I get that they're trying to speed up the game but a 3 batter minimum rule would be absurd.
  9. Baseball has been played the way it is now for well over 100 years. Why does it need to change now? How can anyone possibly think a 3 batter minimum for relief pitchers is good for the game?
  10. I don't want anything to change. Those who don't have the attention span should watch something else.
  11. True, but at this point I would be ecstatic if the Sox could just play in a Wild Card game.
  12. Is there any way he could come back in August or September if the Sox are in the hunt?
  13. He's been more or less saying that the Sox are the favorites for several weeks now and nothing has happened. Then again, I guess it's not his fault if the market is moving at a snail's pace.
  14. I like Hector but I don't really think he knows much more than any of us.
  15. True. I'm just hoping they trade for Joc haha.
  16. Guyer is a career .274 hitter against LHP with an .824 OPS. This makes a lot of sense if they trade for Pederson.
  17. I bet we get to at least 700 pages before anything happens.
  18. I have one thing I would like to say: Fuck the Cubs
  19. I'll take the opposite approach. Think of how good these guys could be. Kopech: ace ceiling Dunning: really good #3 starter, maybe even #2 Madrigal: reminds people a lot of Jose Altuve Robert: superstar potential Collins: exceptional raw power and quality eye at the plate, should be a solid 1B/DH even if he doesn't stick at catcher Rutherford: solid skillset, should hopefully be a productive MLB player No need to be so gloom and doom.
  20. Nah it's not me. I don't have any burner accounts and I wouldn't be that cruel to Sox fans haha.
  21. Did Kopech, Cease, Madrigal, Robert, Dunning, Collins, Rutherford, etc die?
  22. The newest gem from Charles the Cat!
  23. Jon Jay isn't part of the future of this team. Anderson and Moncada are, so I think they should get as many at-bats as possible even if their OBP% is lower. That's my point.
