Even 8/250 seems like a steal for Machado. Usually the back end of those long term free agent deals are rough, but Machado is so young now that he could conceivably still be good at the end of it. He'd only be like 34 by then.

I thought most Yankees fans realized that Machado was unlikely for them. I was wrong.

FWIW, Yankees fans are absolutely freaking out about it, including Max Wildstein.

Even if you dismiss the hat, the fact that he's hanging out with Yonder can't hurt our chances.

There's absolutely no way the guy in the red is Jon Jay. That is most definitely Machado.

So I made a tweet about that hat. Several people think it's a Sox hat.

Did you see the video? That looks an awful lot like the Sox logo to me.

If it's true that Lozano and Reinsdorf have "developed a great relationship", that is HUGE for us.

That closes the book on the idea that the statement by Lozano yesterday was a jab at the Sox so at least that's good news for us.

Ottavino is on the older side but I still would have given him 3 years. His stuff is otherworldly.

Ottavino would have looked so nice in the Sox bullpen. Damn.
