  1. You can tell Hawk genuinely cares about the guys on the team. What a guy.
  2. If Todd is out for a lengthy period of time, would Lawrie shift to 3rd and Sanchez go to 2nd?
  3. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 11, 2016 -> 02:19 PM) If he just knocked out some teeth, I don't think it will be a that bad but we will see I thought it was his nose, but I'm not sure. Why would he be covering his face and running frantically like that if it was just a tooth that got knocked out? It looked worse than that, but what do I know.
  4. He's probably out for awhile. Damn, I feel so bad for him. I hope he's ok.
  5. NO. Oh no. I hope he's ok.
  6. Please send Saladino and Sands down and bring up Shuck.
  7. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 11, 2016 -> 02:05 PM) Avi's reverting to his weak contact ways. Uh oh. He's had 2 at-bats. Calm down.
  8. I want Ian Desmond to go back to the NL.
  9. The Padres lineup today is absolutely pathetic. They have like 2 legit MLB hitters out of 9 guys. No wonder the Cubs are steamrolling everyone. Half the NL is horrible and has a AAA talent level.
  10. If the Sox can stay ~15 games over .500 until August 10th or so, I'll be very confident. Their schedule at the end of the season is fairly easy compared to who they're facing now.
  11. I've always wondered if there's some way that an umpire could have a headset inside of his mask where an unbiased, computerized robot gives him the correct call within a split second of the pitch crossing home plate.
  12. I wonder when Eaton, Abreu, Melky, Frazier, Lawrie, Jackson, etc will get a day off. They've played just about every game so far.
  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 11, 2016 -> 09:52 AM) Do you make this post in every game thread Nope. I've tried to be more positive lately, but this matchup looks really bad for the Sox on paper IMO.
  14. I don't have a good feeling about today. Latos + warm weather + a dangerous lineup = disaster I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see it.
  15. I'm 99.999999999999999999999999% this wouldn't happen, but I wonder who the Sox would have to give up to get Gray, Reddick, and Doolittle as a trio.
  16. QUOTE (Dunt @ May 11, 2016 -> 08:49 AM) I'd be good with that combo, but Doolittle isn't exactly having a great season Absolutely. I think a starting pitcher is more of a need right now than a reliever anyway. I'd like to add a lefty to the 'pen, but the Sox desperately need another quality starter.
  17. I really think Markakis/Teheran is the combo that best fits what the Sox are trying to do right now. CarGo would be nice, but he'll be too expensive IMO.
  18. Let's forget that yesterday ever happened. Just win today and take 2/3. On the bright side, Jones and DRob should be available.
  19. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 11, 2016 -> 06:07 AM) Unless you're discounting the Indians, it's 5 games over CLE and 7 over the Royals and Tigers. And it seems like every pundit/prognosticator/analyst is arguing the Indians are the REAL threat to the White Sox. In the end, we're going to play all three of those teams a TON in the next 6 weeks, so the best team will be apparent then. As far as everyone saying relax, don't panic, don't worry...sure, that's fine...we heard that same thing in 2012 and 2010 and 2008 and 2006 and 2004 and 2003. Just once did we hold the lead, in 2008 over the Twins, and that was by the very thinnest of margins possible. Nobody's saying the sky is falling...we saw a sense of urgency with Danks to move on, hopefully we see the same attitude from the front office regarding Sands and Carroll. I meant 5 games, sorry. It's early and I just woke up haha.
  20. It's frustrating, but realistically, we didn't expect the Sox to sweep Texas or even win 2/3 there. Quite frankly, I don't expect them to win today either. Just take 2/3 in New York when Sale and Q are pitching and come home 25-13. I'd be ok with a 3-3 road-trip for sure.
  21. I went to bed when the Sox were winning 10-5. How in the world did they give up SEVEN runs in the 8th inning? Holy hell. Thankfully it's just one game, some of you need to realize that they're still leading the division by 7 games. While it's disappointing, losses like these happen sometimes.
  22. This is comical...keep piling on.
