  1. QUOTE (MDWhiteSoxFan @ May 6, 2016 -> 07:27 PM) I used to be heavily into football cards some baseball cards. I have a kid that is moving onto 6th grade who is a huge Orioles fan. He said his favorite Oriole ever was Tippy Martinez so I started looking at cards got him a Tippy autograph. Saw the Rodon decided to get it. I may start buying some Sox cards. I have a small collection of Magglio cards haha Very cool story man! I'm a collector at heart and love baseball obviously, so it is a good hobby for me. I think I have 20 Sale autographs now.
  2. QUOTE (MDWhiteSoxFan @ May 6, 2016 -> 07:21 PM) Let's go Sox just got the game on. Also just won an ebay auction for an 2015 Bowman Chrome Carlos Rodon autograph. Let's goo Sox You collect baseball cards too? I thought I was the only one that did that lol. I have a bunch of Sale and Rodon stuff and about 600 Konerko cards haha.
  3. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 6, 2016 -> 03:41 PM) Adam Eaton(L) RF Austin Jackson® CF Jose Abreu® 1B Todd Frazier® 3B Melky Cabrera(S) LF Brett Lawrie® 2B Avisail Garcia® DH Dioner Navarro(S) C Tyler Saladino® SS Really wish Lawrie would hit 2nd in the lineup for once.
  4. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ May 6, 2016 -> 07:43 AM) Bring us some good luck Mike! I'll try my best. I will be very disappointed if the Sox can't take at least 2/3 with Sale and Q pitching against a mediocre team.
  5. Is Ray one of those toolsy type players that the Sox were known for drafting 5-10 years ago?
  6. ChiSoxFanMike replied to Jake's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I really, really, really hope the Sox lock up Lawrie long term. The guy is the prototypical dirtbag player that the Sox have lacked for years. He fits the personality of the team to a tee.
  7. The Cubs are going to have a hard time locking up their youngsters long term.
  8. I honestly wouldn't mind giving Tommy Milone a chance. He couldn't be any worse than Danks or EJ.
  9. Even after losing these last 2 games, the Sox are still up 4 games each on KC/Detroit/Cleveland. So, it could be worse. Just start winning again and everything will be ok.
  10. There is absolutely no way Fulmer should be up this early, IMO. It isn't worth stunting his whole development because they can't find a suitable 5th starter.
  11. Let's end this funk we've been in and beat up these last place motherf***ers. Go Sox!
  12. While I'd be surprised if the Sox came back and won this game, they don't go down without a fight. Should be interesting to see if they can claw back.
  13. The Sox only have 2 consistently reliable starting pitchers right now...ugh.
  14. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 5, 2016 -> 08:07 PM) Come on Johnson. Just one scoreless So much for that.
  15. Tommy Milone was placed on waivers by the Twins today, should the Sox claim him and give him a try? Lol.
  16. Johnson is worse than Gonzalez.
  17. QUOTE (hi8is @ May 5, 2016 -> 04:01 PM) It hit me with some blues as well. Cared more about losing the game than breaking up with my lady. You're a dedicated fan if I've ever seen one.
  18. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ May 3, 2016 -> 12:30 PM) Don't know how long you'll be there, and I don't know what your interest is, but these are always my top recommendations: Holocaust Museum National Museum of American History Arlington National Cemetery Lincoln Memorial Vietnam and WWII Memorials National Air and Space Museum Bureau of Printing and Engraving QUOTE (shysocks @ May 3, 2016 -> 12:34 PM) It's obvious, but absolutely go to the Air and Space Museum. Also go to the Udvar-Hazy Center, which is an additional "wing" of the Air and Space Museum but a little outside of town. It has a space shuttle. The shuttle's real big. It also has the Enola Gay, which is extremely cool for history buffs. These are above and beyond the other attractions to me. Cool, thank you both for the suggestion. I'll definitely try to go to a few of those places for sure.
  19. Reddick/Doolittle or CarGo/McGee make so much sense for the Sox on paper.
  20. I start at 7:25 and get out at 2:15. It sucks to have to wake up at 5:45, but at least I get home pretty early compared to some other schools. Just 9 more full days and I'm done. Praise the lord.
  21. It won't happen, but a rotation of Sale/Gray/Q/Rodon/Latos would be insanely fun to watch. They do have more pressing needs than a pitcher though, so I hope they target a bat before anything else.
  22. I'd really like to see the Sox add another arm. Do you think Anderson + more could get Sonny Gray?
  23. QUOTE (God Loves The Infantry @ May 4, 2016 -> 09:45 PM) In Texas next Tuesday. The BP in Arlington is about six miles from my house. Don't know if I wanna watch the ninth. Not worried long term, but the bats have not shown up today. Which is a bummer, because Clay Buchholz could reasonably lose his job to John Danks. Awesome, have fun. Hopefully the bats are awake by then.
  24. Are any of you guys going to see a Sox game in person in the near future? I might go on Saturday, not 100% sure yet.
