I saw a post on Twitter that was interesting and could possibly be true. It said something along the lines of that the Sox are waiting until SoxFest to announce an acquisition to try to garner more interest in the event itself. I don't know if it's true or not, but it does seem like the Sox usually announce something big at that time.

I want absolutely nothing to do with Fowler. Hell, I'd prefer Austin Jackson over him.

Realistically, what teams are still in the market for Cespedes? I think the Giants and Angels are out now, so that leaves us with the: White Sox Orioles Nationals Cardinals Tigers Are there any other teams I missed? I like our chances.

@Alden_Gonzalez Angels still looking for LF and believe they'll get one. But at this point, they either trade for one, or he makes less than $5M in 2016. Sounds like they're out on Cespedes too.

Here's a really outside the box idea: sign Desmond to play SS and Alexei to play RF. Alexei is most well known as a SS as we all know, but he did play a bit of outfield in '08. As far as I'm concerned, he'd be an upgrade over Avi in RF and his defense would most likely be adequate enough.
