That fact does not invalidate the original statement. I'm sure we could all go through drafts and cherry pick specific examples of one being better than the other until the cows come home, but the fact remains that picking 3rd in the draft now is more beneficial than picking 7th, thinking otherwise is silly...What you do with the pick is another story.
I remember being a little kid jumping on my parents bed watching Hawk & Wimpy call games. Hawk narrated the summers of my childhood and I appreciate him for that. Although it's his time to move on and I've been ready for the next voice to permanently take over, this moment is still bittersweet. Thanks for everything Hawk!
Considering the major league team hasn't had a lot of shining moments the last couple seasons, I've thoroughly enjoyed following the minors more closely. Like you, I'm itching for the next season to be here already (and hopefully the health of some of our big dogs turns out in our favor next year).
