He was the only one. Most stood up for her over there which was good. I find it sort of funny that the two guys who gave her the most crap haven't replied to that thread yet. I know they've seen it. They post there all the time and one is a mod. Michelle knows her s*** and the fact that Steff reported that she heard the same exact thing is enough for me. It really is a shame though that Michelle was jumped on like she was during the Botch trade simply because their supposed guy-in-the-know hadn't heard jack and because she wouldn't reveal her source. Has WSI ever blown the cover off of a huge Sox related story? Their treatment of my friends..... specifically HSC, Showtime, and Maury..... is one reason why I don't post there anymore and that is a shame because I know WSI has some great Sox fans over there.

I remember that Baggs..... but don't you think Hemond may be a little bit too old to be the GM of the White Sox ? Just a feeling I got from hearing him speak..... like he's sort of out-of-touch with today's professional athlete. Wasn't there a certain ex-basketball GM close to JR that was rumored, at one point, to be contemplating a move from GM'ing basketball to GM'ing baseball ? And I'm not talking about Michael Jordan either.

If nothing in the GM and/or managerial regime changes, this team will be out of contention in two to three weeks and, come August, when the fire sale begins and the hungry youngsters are brought up, the Sox will make yet another drive to .500..... being mediocre at best and getting a middle-of-the-pack, medicore-just-like-the team is pick.

Like SI said..... the Sox are 4-10 in their last 14, one game under .500, and in third place..... when they had a 3.5 game lead on third place Minnesota just one week ago. We've put up with mediocre play under Manuel's tenure as manager for 2 1/2 seasons now. I think it's obvious that whatever Manuel is doing, it is not the right thing and if KW and/or JM don't have the balls to fire him, he should look in the mirror and do the classy thing..... resign..... because it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that this team is and has underachieved with Manuel at the helm.

Anything except be patient. I'm sick of being patient only to see the same thing that has happened in 2001 and 2002 happen this year. Where's the urgency to win? Manuel SHOULD be panicked..... this season, thus far, has been a carbon copy of 2001 and 2002 and I, for one, am goddamn sick and tired of it as a ticket buying White Sox fan. Tell the Yankees fans to be patient since they haven't won the WS in 3 years. Don't tell a Sox fan, most of whom weren't even alive the last time the Sox were in the WS, to be patient.
