This can be explained two ways: 1.) KC has been winning; and 2.) Playing the Tigers has almost been a sure win for every team involved. It's almost laughable that the only team the Tigers have beaten are the White Sox

I'll second that. It's one thing to be a distraction that doesn't produce like K-layton. It's another thing to be a distraction and produce like Jimenez has thus far. Here's one thing I don't understand about him being a distraction....... I dont think he's as bad as everyone thinks..... Because Klesko said had some sour grapes all the sudden Jimenez is the next Albert Belle???? I think in this situation, Jimenez is going to thrive. A few on this board claim that the distraction is alive and well inside the White Sox Clubhouse though Murc..... and I trust one of the sources completely.

The Halloween specials suck. My faves are the one where Homer thinks Bart may be gay and he tries desperately to "butch" Bart up only, in classic Homer fashion, to have it blow up in his trying-to-do-good face and the episode where Homer steals Moes car for the insurance money. The part where Homer jumps out of Moe's car as it rolls down the hill and Homer rolls right back into it before it plunges off the cliff right in front of a police charity event on a boat is comic gold

I actually thought the 3rd strike which caught Maggs looking somewhere around the 3-5 inning was just as bad as the call on Jimenez. Since when are the ankles considered part of the strike zone ? Having said that, I have noticed alot of bad umpiring through this young season..... particularly when watching the White Sox and whoever is playing the Cubs. If anyone has been watching whoever is playing the Cubs games, it is the exact opposite..... sCrUBS are getting alot of gift calls. None have changed the outcome of the game though..... THANK GOD!

You ain't his only supporter Jim. He seems to be the only player on our team right now who gets on base with any kind of consistency. I concede that there is evidence that he may be a clubhouse distraction and that really is a shame. But that is where the comparisons to K-layton end. He's played a decent 2B, hits for contact and power, and has begun to steal bases. And, if I'm not mistaken, did I hear Hawk and DJ correctly last night when they said DJ hit his 5th triple of the season ? If that was true, through 16 games, that is pretty incredible given his history.

The best option would be to just go back to the 2-division format and only have 1 LCS, but that wouldn't generate enough money. Of course it doesn't "generate enough money" but doing that makes entirely too much sense. I've been advocating realigning the leagues and going back to two divisions in each league since interleague play began.

Anything's better than, "If you come to our ballpark, you better bring your 'A' game..... you better come ready to play." You think the opposition got a kick out of that radio and TV spot enroute to beating the White Sox' ass in 2001 ?
