Yes it can and it will as long as JM is known as the "Manager of the Chicago White Sox." If KW is calling the shots and JM is just rolling with it, then I have even less respect for Manuel and he needs to go ASAP. Obviously, if this is the case, JM cannot stand up for himself so he will not be able to stand up for the team or individual players when the situation arises. I think most of us would agree that my last statement rings resoundingly true. If JM is afraid to take charge at ANY FACET of the game, then he should do himself, the players, and the White Sox Organization a favor..... resign.

Exactly what I've been advocating if we lost 2 or 3 to Baltimore (already happened) and 2 or 3 to Minnesota. July is too f***ing late for a managerial change. End of April, and the season could, possibly, be salvaged.

Last night was the perfect opportunity for Manuel to leave Kelly in for more than one inning. Let him work 2, then Marte, then Botch in the 9th..... as bad as he's been recently, he is our closer after all. Another case of BP mismanagement that Sox fans have become accustomed to the last few years. As far as the White situation goes, how hard is it for JM to go up to his guys before the game during bp and ask them how they're feeling..... physically and mentally ? I've been saying for a week or two now that, as long as their starters keep going out there with quality starts, KC is the team to beat..... and will be the team to beat until they are knocked out of first place.

They aren't in any danger. their sales went up with the anti -war crowd...people who dont listen to thatg genre...within the country music base their sales are almost non existant...when the hoopla from the war dies down and the anti war folks forget all about country music and the dixie chics then what will they do??? I remember specifically reading a 30 spot drop of their album from number 3 to number 33 on the Billboard 100 ranking released immediately after their anti-war comments..... one of the biggest one week drops in Billboard history. Diane Sawyer is supposed to be doing an interview with the Dixie Pig who forgot who her core audience was. I guarantee the interview is not being done to discuss the meteoric rise of their album among the Anti-War crowd.

A couple of months? This team has underachieved BIG TIME with JM as manager for two seasons now..... not to mention mediocre at best ball in the second half of 2000. He's had two-and-a-half goddamn years. Don't give me that "give the guy a couple of months" bulls***.

I've been concerned since Botch blew that 5-4 lead in the 9th to the Royals. It should be a real treat starting next week when we begin our West Coast (see: GOOD TEAMS) swing.
