Cankles. And think before you speak BEGOOD
-
Not unless MN loses 4 or 5 of it's last 9.
-
I think Ncorg's "in your face" style of Organizational Ownership is just what the White Sox need Anybody to light a fire under these stiffs is needed at this point.
-
Gardenhire is head and shoulders above Manuel in the manager Dept. The opposite of Manuel too. I'd love to have a manager like him on the Southside.
-
That's an "Indian Burn" HSC. Jeez.....
-
I think PK's first-half humbled him

There should be no incentive for being first loser. That includes WildCard's. Only incentive's paid out should be for Division Champion.
-
PK? Valentin?

I'm wearing a paper bag on Sunday

I hope you didn't have to pay shipping and handling on them. If so, you never should have signed for them

f*** Bonds. I hope he's one of those HoF'ers that never gets a ring.

Do you still believe Sox will make the playoffs?
CubKilla replied to sox-r-us's topic in Pale Hose Talk
That should be in about 5 or 6 days -
You're right. I suppose damning the Organization is a little harsh. But I do not believe it is as harsh as you believe it to be..... when you think about it. I'm 28 years old. In my lifetime, I have seen the White Sox make the playoffs 3 times. 3 times. In my lifetime, I have seen the White Sox win a total of 3 playoff games. In my lifetime, I have seen the White Sox win a total of 1..... ONE..... playoff game. I am a blue-collar worker. My baseball knowledge and playing experience is no better, no worse than most on this messageboard. I played organized ball in my adolescent and teen years. After that, anything I know about baseball is learned by either reading baseball literature or passed on down to me from posters like yourself..... baseball fans. Given the track record of the White Sox Organization in my lifetime posted above..... and taking into account that, given my limited baseball knowledge and experience, if I knew what happened would happen, why..... if the White Sox were "committed to winning it all this year"..... could no one in the White Sox Organization see this happening? Why didn't we trade for a 5th starter if the Organization was committed to winning? Why did we put our faith in proven bust Danny Wrong and unproven minor leaguers Cotts and Stewart? Why do we allow the Organization to be GM'ed by a guy that allows personal feelings to get in the way of what's best for the team? Why do we allow the Organization to be managed by a lifeless puppet..... strings pulled by our wonderful GM until, reportedly, very recent. Why do we allow the Organization to be managed by a manager that has proven that he is no better than .500 with exception being one half of baseball in 2000? Of course, the majority of blame lies with the Chairman of the Chicago White Sox..... the same guy that, when Sox fans started showing up at the Cell this season after many saw signs of "hope", raised parking prices $2 to $15. The same Chairman that forced Illinois Taxpayers to pay for his folley at 35th and Shields but constantly refuses to make the deals to put the White Sox over the top. Sure, JR may donate hundreds..... thousands..... perhaps millions to Chicago area charities over the years. Sure, JR may be one of the most nice and personable guys one will ever meet once a conversation between oneself and the Chairman is established. But you can bet your bottom dollar that JR gets all of those charitable donations back come April. And I'm not even going to scratch the surface on the attitudes of some of the White Sox players provided for us by JR himself. The player quoted in the Backman thread said more in two or three sentences than I possibly could about some White Sox players attitude's. I'm sure I've bored anyone to tears that has read this post up until this point but these are just some of the reason why I damn the entire Organization for being first..... perhaps second when all is said and done..... place loser (AGAIN) in the weak, very winnable, AL Central. Second best will never be acceptable to me. :fyou for nothing..... White Sox Organization
-
He didn't. It was just board speculation since the A's said they will not resign Tejada.
-
The fact that one Sox player was quoted as such about Backman puts Backman high up on my list of "cheap" managerial candidates. Whoever said this is probably the same type of guy that plays Playstation 2 in the clubhouse during BP and watches NFL games in September during a series that was a must win. Any White Sox player that would say this, I don't care who it is..... especially after White Sox fans were subjected to CorpseBall the last 3 games..... should be shipped the f*** out along with Manuel.
-
Great minds think alike Bmr
-
I guess that deep-sixes any talk of a, to quote Hawk..... "mind-blowing trade", that would involve Tejada.

HSC posted around the All-Star break that KW was going to step down as GM. This coincided with the active return Eddie Einhorn. Her information has been right on..... she even told us about the Botch/Foulke trade a few days before it happened. I know a few people on these boards and their "backgrounds", so to speak. And I trust what HSC and Ncorg say, for example, as gospel. Needless to say, even though she was right on about Botch/Foulke, when the KW situation didn't happen the way she said it would, she was flamed by most on here. She'll probably never post anything "insider" here again..... rather, she'll just tell the 3 or 4 people here that she knows what she has heard and the rest will take it's course. Hardly anyone gave her props for Botch/Foulke but plenty gave her s*** on the KW thing.

Someone pinned it up top already

Time to change the banner. I think a white flag will do. Thanks for nothing White Sox Organization :fyou
-
I blame the Trifecta for convenience. After all, they are the ones that supply us with new/old corpses every year .
-
I saw Aaron, I thought the thread was props for Guzman's error in the 9th. My mistake. I still stand by what I said about Dorn though.
-
Don't worry. They won't make it. They're still 1 game out of 1st place with all the wins against "White Flaggers" they put up.
