And who is the one constant through all of this ? Hmmmmm.....
  7. I thought it was funny when I went to the track about a year ago..... nearing the finish line, the jockey is thrown off a horse when the horse breaks its leg. The horse is still trying to run with the broken leg and the jockey isn't moving. People in the grandstands are crying and gasping over the HORSE! Nothing was said about the jockey that wasn't moving.
  8. If you're not a fan of or member of the Orioles And, if anyone on the Sox did something similar to this, my money would definitely be on C Lee.
  9. And, to go with getting ahead of the batters, he needs to stay there and not walk 6 in 2 1/3rd's innings again. Obviously, you're not ahead of many hitters very often if you are walking >2 an inning.
  10. Haven't we been saying this since April? Where's KC now? Oh yeah. RIGHT THERE. Time to stop writing KC off until the standings SHOW that KC can be written off.

    Watch out Pujols
  12. Um...perhaps 13 years of stats supporting that idea have something to do with it? Duh. Yeah..... 13 years of stats heavily weighted towards the beginning to middle of Frank's career. With exception of Frank's "blip" in 2000, the Frank of '99, '02, and '03 (leaving '01 out totally because of the triceps injury) is a far cry from the Frank that everyone here seems to think will return to pre-'99 form for the rest of '03 if only we play him at first base.
  13. I have about this much -----> :finger respect for JM and his continuously predictable bulls***. Wanna see respect for a manager? Respect Pinella when he schools JM when the game is close. I don't respect any manager that lives and dies by the lefty/righty-righty/lefty match-up and/or the stat sheet instead of the heart and balls. And I don't respect any manager that cannot "manage" his team to a Division Championship in a Division that is horses***. And if MLB players don't respect JM, why in the hell should we? And what do these polls prove other than the White Sox have had some pretty s***ty managers during the teams history ? That's about the ONLY things these polls have proven.
  14. Finally..... SANITY! :fyou Manuel.
  15. I said that before. I just have a feeling that if the Twins ever have first place all to themselves, they won't pull a White Sox or Royals and give it up the next day. I don't think they will ever look back.

WHOOPEE! Too bad we're going to have to play well on the road if we make the playoffs since we ain't gonna have jack-s*** for homefield advantage. That is, unless, we go all the way to the World Series .
  17. Bulls***. Most of the time, like from 07/18-08/10..... during which time the White Sox only lost one series, the White Sox were winning games despite Manuel. And the few games that the White Sox lost..... 07/26 comes to mind against Tampa Bay when JM, in his wisdom , allowed an already shelled Rick White-Flag to return to the game after the White Sox started a possible comeback a half-inning before and White-Flag stomped any realistic hope of a White Sox comeback from that point on..... were lost due to JM's utter impotency as White Sox manager. In the Tampa Bay case, total and utter BP mismanagement. JM's never done that! And excuse me if I don't get fired up over 1 AL Central Division Championship over about 6 seasons in a mostly s*** ass division. And what does this poll say when you have to add names like Bevington to the list? You're really proving your point with that one.

He'll probably be a 20 game winner again when he signs that contract though
  20. 3rd Place. We're F-U-C-K-E-D
  21. Why wait until tomorrow? Cotts has no control and as long as Texas' bats can lay off the garbage, we'll be swept. Cotts will not be able to work around the BB's at the Major League level like he can in AA.
  22. GAME OVER! Great pitching thus far guys :puke
  23. 2 out. 1-5 on this road trip thus far . Up to PK to keep it alive.
  24. Top 9, Maggs up, Graffenino on deck to bat for a 2-3 on the night Daubach . 12-8 Texas.
