There are usually 4-5 home games televised every year on either ESPN, FSN, or ABC/FOX/NBC/CBS. And, considering the only people that care about the Hawks are usually at the UC anyway, I'm sure not alot of people are going to take notice.

It's alot easier to decide your own fate in AA than it is in the ML's in regards to BB's. If JM would have left him in any longer on Tuesday, we'd have been talking about how he got rocked. That, of course, is JMHO. As for Sunday..... 4 1/3rd's, 6 H's, 4 ER's, 2 K's, 5 BB's.

What does a city's murder rate have to do with baseball? Chicago had more homicides than NY City in '02..... and NY City probably has about 5-6 million more residents than Chicago does. You didn't post about how you would have to bring a gun to USCF if you had tickets to the AllStar Game here. And, FYI, when comparing murder rates, are you going by total murders or by per capita? Depending on what statistics you read, the top 3 are..... in no particular order..... Gary, In., St. Louis, Mo., and Detroit, Mi. LA and Chicago round out the top 5, once again, depending on how the statistics are compiled.

Yeh, but didn't we get Adkins from Billy Beane, and what major leaguer that we got from Billy Beane has ever done well? Miguel Olivo is pretty decent in my book. Defensively? Yes. Offensively? He's offensive in my book. I hope his bat comes in the very near future. We're gonna need it.

Frank is the DH because he was brutal at 1B earlier in his career. He has about as much backbone as a jellyfish and is only the White Sox DH because he requested the role after he became sick and tired of reading all of the negative stories from the local and national sports media about how bad he really was at 1B. Time for Sox fans to accept Frank Thomas at DH. Anyone who thinks putting Thomas at 1B for a whole season will have Thomas' average raised .040-.050 points is out of their skull.
