Yeah. This fact has been pointed out to me more times than I can stomach.
I guess it's just the pissed off fan in me that wants to see JR spend a little money and KW deal for someone with ML and playoff experience considering we still have one of the lowest payrolls in baseball. Afterall, the "kids" did so well for us in 2000 . And, if we make the playoffs this year, EL, BC, and/or MB can have a bad start at anytime. Would be nice to have someone in the BP for long relief that has the ability to shut down an opposing offense besides JG..... who is still too damn inconsistent for us to depend on him to flat out shut the opposition down during the possible postseason. If we go with the 3-man rotation if we make the playoffs, who else do we have for long relief besides JG? Gordon? No. Marte? No. Koch? HELL f***ING NO! Wunsch? No. Ginter? No. Wright? Who knows what the f*** he's doing/will be doing if we make the playoffs. Schoenweis? Maybe. Do we even have a long reliever at this point with JG our number 4 in the rotation?
I hope you're all right and Cotts is the answer because, if we make the playoffs, we're gonna need someone other than JG for long relief AT THE VERY LEAST. JMHO. I'd prefer someone that's been in that position before but that's just me.
