Blago is Daley's puppet. Doesn't help that he's a political hack in way over his head without Clue 1. This guy has alienated almost all of his voting support in under a year. It took Ryan even longer to accomplish that. Don't forget that he has "changed" positions on many of the issues that won him election. Not to worry though. The State has financial problems but he's giving his wife millions to plant flowers on the Expressways. I just wonder if that was his wife's idea or Daley's ?

Can we please stop with the series predictions before they start and the constant threads based on attendance? The only person that has clue one when it comes to predictions is Bmr . But it is not so much prediction threads that bother me as much as it is the constant harping on the f***ing attendance. Here's a newsflash..... EVERYONE HERE IS A DIE-HARD AND, FOR THE POSTERS HERE THAT LIVE IN CHICAGO, WE GO TO AS MANY GODDAMN GAMES AS TIME AND MONEY PERMIT!!!!! For those that live out of state/country, I have no doubt that you all would be going to as many games as you all could if you lived in/near Chicago. To beat an old cliche into the ground..... YOU'RE ALL PREACHING TO THE CHOIR!!!!! If you want to help increase attendance, do as I do and bring friends to games that have never been to a Sox Game. You might make a Sox fan out of them while doing something concrete to increase attendance. If you are one of the people that starts these threads..... particularly the Attendance Threads..... and you don't do anything yourself to increase attendance other than go to the games and post here about how disappointed you are that there weren't more of us there, do us all a favor and..... There must be alot of naive Sox fans around here. JR is so goddamn cheap, no attendance mark or monies earned is going to guarantee that JR is going to spend jack s*** on improving the team. Back when Comiskey II was brand new and the Park was sold out almost every night, the Sox were a better team record-wise than they are now. JR didn't open the wallet then to better the team. He took the cheap route in '93 and '00 with acquisitions that were supposed to "help" the team. While I can't bad mouth acquiring C Johnson for the '00 playoff run, Tim Belcher definitely was a money-based acquisition that sucked after donning the Sox pinstripes..... and the attendance in '93 surpassed the attendance in '00. And we didn't need a catcher in '00..... we needed pitching but pitching cost $$$$$! There is nothing that says JR will open the wallet now. At the very least, it's just more money for JR to count and roll around in naked with Eddie Einhorn while sipping champagne and smoking Cuban cigars.

That's pretty decent for a number 4 starter. Look around baseball and see what other number guys are doing. I'm sure he comes in as "above average". I have to disagree with you here yas. It really doesnt matter if hes a # 2, 3, 4 or 5. What matters is how he pitches. The results, his progress, his getting the most out of his ability. He may only be 23 or whatever, but hes been around for 4 years. Personally, I ecpect tonights performance to be the norm for Jon, not the exception. Yes he is young but its time to stop making excuses and PITCH. I have to say, I agree with Bmr here. Garland is just too damn inconsistent to offer "props" and he still usually gets unhinged at bad defense and walks. Last night was the exception for JG..... not the rule..... although we have seen that JG before.
