And we were shut out by the Tigers..... TWICE! Don't lose sight that our first place lead is only .5 games Sox fans. I hate to be the voice of reason and the damper on all of your happiness tonight but remember how fast we went from tied for first to 3 out. And we went to where we are now just as fast. Anything can happen. I'm happy that the Royals lost but I am definitely not laughing at their misfortune..... until they are at least 10 games out of first place.

If 550 is the only Section available for Saturday's game like someone here posted yesterday, tomorrow will be another sellout. That will be 3 in a week. Better spend some money you cheap f***ing prick JR :fyou

Never been so happy to be so wrong Now let's take the series for sure tomorrow White Sox

Buehrle's the f***ing man. Always has been. Huge win tonight and what a way to bounce back after JM's "white flag" on Sunday before the game even started.

We need a smiley drinking Pepto Bismol for posts like this

Now..... all the Sox got to do is hang on and get 3 more outs!

Which team won the Billy Koch/Keith Foulke trade?
CubKilla replied to IlliniKrush's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Don't know which "Be(a)rry" KW arranged for, but KW made a deal with LA for a 20-something prospect named "Berry." Problem was, KW mistakenly traded for a career minor league journeyman named "Barry." Dumbass KW was off by a letter and didn't notice it until the trade cleared the commish's desk. The "E" and the "A" may be the other way around. Happened a few years ago and I'm too lazy to look it up. But that's the Berry/Barry deal in a nutshell. -

K-layton ranks as a bad acquisition. I don't think we traded anyone for him. I could be mistaken though . That's a 2 seasons of White Sox history I'd like to forget. -

Klayton was a bad acquisition. Barry/Berry was pure comedy but not alot of people outside of the diehards even remember that deal. IMHO, witesoxfan hit the big 3 right on the head. -

You are wise beyond your years -
A tinkerer's dream. This should answer the question as to why Rivera isn't the one up here

You expected any different? Moronotti's Cubbies have won a few games in a row so now he's back on the Cubbie Bandwagon. Doesn't surprise me one bit. f*** him.

I'm pretty confident that, when all is said and done, that Koch-Cotts/Foulke-Johnson-Valentine will be bad big trade number 3 for KW. -
It's also fantasy to think that the numbers you just posted will translate the same way in the ML's as they do in AA.

Says who? He didn't come close to 96 when I was at the game on Tuesday. Just the typical 91-93 that Sox fans have been accustomed to. And the only BB's offered was the one off of Berroa's bat to RF. JM pulled Botch after that to resounding boo's.

How about, "WIPE THAT SMILE OFF YOUR FACE!"

If this team makes the playoffs there is no way JR will pay for two managers next season. Count on that. We win, we're stuck with the asshole for '04.

Our friend Poznanski getting a little scared?
CubKilla replied to sox-r-us's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Carlos Lee couldn't hold Maggs' jock strap. Bad comparison. As for his columns getting slightly better..... think the onslaught of e-mails from SoxNet have anything to do with that? -
If you think anyone here that bashes a player or coach doesn't cheer for that player in a game situation, you're sorely mistaken.
-
The Sox gave up virtually nothing for Colon..... except a 20+ game closer. So, unfortunately, this trade has to be judged on Colon's performance..... not just who we gave up to get him. And, depending on who you believe, Cashman had more to do with making this deal happen than KW did. I don't necessarily believe that, but it is something to take into account.
-
Alomar hasn't been here long enough and there are just as many people that would say Colon was a good trade as there are many people that would say Colon was a bust regardless of how he pitches the rest of the year because, until recently, the 20-game winner was under .500.
-
I'd say 20 was quite impossible by this point in the season
-
Let me just say that you are onto something here. I'm not necessarily saying that Cotts is ready to be called up to the big leagues, but KW's ego may have something to do with him getting called up to the ML's before tossing one pitch in AAA. KW hears all the pro-Williams banter recently from Chicago's sports media outlets but callers always bringing up the fact that his big trades are all busts bothers KW..... Botch being one of them. KW's hoping Cotts make the Botch Deal good. Don't believe me if you want. That's all of your perogatives here. But don't be surprised if Cotts gets B..... O..... M..... B..... BOMBED in Anaheim because his 87 MPH "heater" and his desire to locate pitches perfectly (WALKS) will spell DOOM for the White Sox. Cotts has Danny Wrong written all over him..... IMHO..... just less velocity.
