Didn't hear about it. Think it was a clubhouse thing. A little extra to play for since the Sox came so close to pulling off 10 in a row before losing last Saturday when Hawk made public his 10 in a row/shaved melon bet. If Monday is a sell-out, Hawk should HAVE to reveal his dome to the Sox fans in attendance
-
Another good point. I forgot all about the September call-ups. Should be really interesting if we're still in this thing to see how these youngsters react to every game being a pressing situation to win.
-
That's a new "Hawkism" this season. He did it sparingly early, but he has been doing it more often as the season goes on. I love it. "That ball's scalded..... get up..... stretch..... stretch..... you caann put it on the BBBBBOOOOOAAAAARRRRRDDDDD..... YYYYYES!" Reading the KC fan boards this past series, they absolutely HATE "Hawkisms!" :finger KC fans

Sorry. But we're back in this AL Central race. No Danny Wrong at closer and Neil Cotts at starter experiments at this stage of the game. If Danny cannot get the job done at starter these next 2 starts, then KW will HAVE to acquire a 5th starter if we plan on winning this Division.

I support Thomas..... as this teams DH.
-
It wasn't so much JM outcoaching Pena as it was JM doing what he does and has done so many times before in the past..... play the averages. That's all it was. This time it worked out in our favor. YEAH JM!

The first post of sanity I've read regarding the Thomas/Konerko 1B issue. I'm so sick and tired of Sox fans posting bulls*** just because Frank is Frank. Years ago, Frank asked to be the teams DH because he was sick of being embarassed at 1B defensively. He put up MVP-like numbers in 2000 as the DH of that squad. Now Frank "the Moody One" blurts that he feels more in the game at 1B mentally than when he DH's. So let's all post about how JM should sit everyone he needs to just because Frank is "God" and that's what would make him happy. Pure and utter BULLs***! Frank playing 1B would have been the difference between hitting IF pop-out after IF pop-out these past 3 games against KC? Damn! White Sox fans that post rely on stats too f***ing much. Does anyone realize that Frank was probably pressing before hitting HR #400 and, now that he is just shy of 2000 career hits, that Frank is probably pressing again? IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHETHER OR NOT HE IS PLAYING FIRST BASE!!!!! Frank is this teams DH, with Konerko and Daubach being this teams 1B-men. GET USED TO IT SOX FANS! We screamed earlier on in the season about JM fielding a consistent line-up. We get it, we win 12 of 14, but now we sit or DH Konerko who is hot for Frank because he says he's more into the game mentally at 1B? Let's stick with what's working here people. If Frank don't hit but .120 at DH but we still win 12 of 14 everytime, I'll take a .120 Thomas.

Better than the 25-1 they were in November of '02 when I was last out there

I'll see you there Zach Cub Killa, If you are gonna be there Tuesday with heather and hotsoxchick (accordign to heather), i might meet up with you guys at some point before the game....i guess you guys are going to the bar or stadium club, so i'll meet you guys at some point when you are in the seating area. Either that or we can all meet up at a predesignated meeting spot at a certain time considering we'll all have different tix
-
I'll see you there Zach
-
Don't get me wrong. If he's wearing a Sox uni, I hope the absolute best for him. I just don't see him regaining 5-8 MPH in velocity. Like Zach said though, if he comes in on Monday or Tuesday and the crowd can get him jacked, who knows. I'd love to see 99-101 MPH readings on the radar when Billy's jacked..... and I'll be cheering for him even if he can't hit 99-101 MPH on Monday and/or Tuesday because he's White Sox.
-
Sure. Just post if you're going and anybody else that is going will tell you where to meet them. Everyone on this board is cool like that. I've met HSC, Steff, cwsox, Zach, GuG, YASNY, Maury, Guido, Showtime, and a ton of others. Just let us know
-
I might. Depends. Me, Maury, and Guido discussed going to "Winning Ugly Night" on 09/05.
-
Keep thinking that. Unless he adds a pitch or two to his repetoire, he's done. And, I believe, the highest Botch has hit all season was 96 MPH. Afterall, he let the fans and everyone in the media know about it afterwards.

Mustn't be a whole lot of non-sports related happenings going on in KC
-
The Stones have been washed up for years. As for Timberlake's treatment.....
-
Cotts better be stellar for this trade to turn to the White Sox favor.
-
That's the chick Vida that me and Guido are always talking about Maury

Or black How bout we don't go down this road CK.....keep those comments to urself. I dont think cubkilla meant what ur thinking, but maybe im wrong. I didn't mean anything racist by my comment. Just that there is a guy that calls Dave Wills Sox Post, almost weekly, who's black (he admitted it to Wills at one point) and claims all of this racial bogotry in the White Sox Organization with nothing substantial to back up his claims other than Baseball's Heirarchy is white. If people were offended, I'm sorry. No offense was meant. It just sounded like comments you'd typically hear from a black racist. That's all.

Time to f*** up Seattle on the road

Good job Rafael :fyou sCrUBS

Esteban deserves better than this. He won this game and the BP blows it again. He's a class guy and will undoubtably tell you that a "W" in the standings means more to him than a "W" for his pitching record. But if the BP ain't blowing games on him, the offense isn't scoring run freakin' 1. Esteban should be close to 17-18 wins by now and running away with the AL Cy Young Award. Too bad .
-
:fyou Moronotti If the Cubs win 5 in a row he'll be, "White Sox who ?"
-
Me and Guido will probably be there Monday and Tuesday
