  1. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 17, 2015 -> 12:47 PM) Amazing to me that even post-2005 so many Sox fans are awkward 13-year old girl insecure when it comes to the cubs. Face it, people. The Cubs are coming. They'll have the best offense in the game by 2017. And they have the system/resources to get the pitching they need. I'd be OK if the Cubs won it all if it wasn't for the fact that immediately afterwards 50% of Cubs fans would become insufferable douches and I'd have to hear the media nauseatingly wax poetic about it for the rest of my life. At least when the Red Sox ended their drought I wasn't living in Boston surrounded by their fans.
  2. We haven't swept anyone yet, let's change that today.
  3. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 17, 2015 -> 01:24 PM) Hope I'm wrong but I have no faith that he sustains this. He doesn't need to sustain it, he's the fifth starter. Even if he falls off a bit, that's fine if the top 4 guys pitch like they can.
  4. Even if that does happen there's no guarantee of playoff success, and the bigger the hype the more fun it is when they fail (2003 and 2008 were quite fun to watch).
  5. Anyone else worried about Robertson? He doesn't seem nearly as sharp lately. Also can't have Shark throw his standard 50 pitches through 2 innings tomorrow, we need our starters to go long into games without an off-day the rest of the month.
  6. AL Central has 3 of the top 4 records in the AL, and 3 of the top 7 in the MLB. Wonderful.
  7. This is where I'm jealous of the Sox fans who live outside Chicago. The hype is going crazy right now, to the point where I couldn't ignore the Cubs even when I want to.
  8. Sox have now scored 4+ runs in 9 of the last 10 games. Has the offense turned the corner?
  9. At least he threw a lot of pitches again.
  10. That strike three was clearly a ball.
  11. C'mon blow this game open.
  12. He just walked two guys, don't swing at the first pitch.
  13. Great AB, some great takes by LaRoche there. Pour it on.
  14. Need at least a couple here.
  15. Damnit, that should have been a double, poorly played by Eaton.
  16. It's like whenever they get some momentum going they have to remind us that they suck.
  17. Have you guys always had an on-going feud?
  18. Sounds like more BS Cubs hype, it seems like the "pitch to him like he's a triple crown winner" method is working, the guy is a K machine.
  19. As bad as we've been and after all the hype the Cubs good start has gotten, they are 2 whole games better than us so far.
  20. Wow gamble pays off
  21. You HAVE to score now
  22. Get Danks the win please
  23. Good effort Beckham
