Bauer again?

GAME THREAD 5/19 - CLE @ SOX
Aside from that high fastball, Putnam has looked good his last two outings.

LaRoche is the only one who's figured out that Bauer will likely walk you if you're patient with him. How have we not figured that out by now? Third time facing him already.

Upcoming 7 game homestand
Some of the radio guys last night kept pointing out that this streak has come against cellar dwellers, and while true, the Brewers just beat the Tigers in Detroit and the A's just beat the Astros in Houston. Kluber and the Indians also dominated the best team in the NL last week on the road as well. Also, in 2012 we really struggled against the bad teams, which was a big contributor along with our bad record against Detroit to losing the division.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
How about a nice 8-game winning streak for old time's sake?

Adam blew his pitch to hit too. Damn.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 18, 2015 -> 08:10 PM) Ladunn has not been as advertised. Coming into the game he had a .370 OBP and was over .500 in May. Also that nickname is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

No history tonight (well I guess the Ks are still in play).

GAME THREAD 5/18 - CLE @ SOX
Following the game on Gameday and I'm seeing a lot of "line outs" so far against Sale, are the Indians hitting him hard?
-
GAME THREAD 5/18 - CLE @ SOX
f***ing finally. There's the slider. Should have thrown it last inning.

GAME THREAD 5/18 - CLE @ SOX
That might be all Kluber needs. By the way, doesn't Cleveland own Sale? He wins the Cy Young hands down in '13 if he never faced the Indians.

Slider time, c'mon

Hoping Sale shuts them down and one of our guys runs into one.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 18, 2015 -> 05:13 PM) Abreu just hit the 10 farthest balls I've ever seen at the Cell. By far the most powerful, no surpruse. I got to Miller early enough on Wednesday to see BP, and though he didn't play that day, Abreu was hitting some monster shots then too.

Upcoming 7 game homestand
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 17, 2015 -> 09:52 PM) Stupid Francona, he should have sent him out for the 9th to set the strikeout record!!! There's always wishful thinking... Francona was ejected earlier in the game, he wasn't the one who took out Kluber.

Didn't see it what happened?

GAME THREAD 5/17 - SOX @ OAK
Kazmir at 73 pitches at least.
-
GAME THREAD 5/17 - SOX @ OAK
We're hitting over .280 with an OPS greater than .750 as a team the last 13 games and we're scoring less than 5 runs a game in that span, last inning is a great example of why.

GAME THREAD 5/17 - SOX @ OAK
Getting really sick of Samardzija, doesn't he know he's pitching for a contract?

Should have been a quick inning, what the hell Jeff.

Ventura told stuff by front office
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 17, 2015 -> 02:57 PM) Let's hope it continues when they face the two most beatable teams in the division at home this week...do they miss Kluber? No it's Kluber vs. Sale on Monday.

2015 MLB Catch-All Thread
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 17, 2015 -> 02:23 PM) And with 2 outs in the 9th they get a hit. He only had 4 strikeouts, one of those balls were bound to get through the defense, sucks that it came on the last one. Miller's been great this year.

2015 Cubs Catch-All thread
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 17, 2015 -> 01:48 PM) When I said "the Cubs are coming" that didn't mean I think they're about to win the next 5 World Series titles. I mean that they are going to be a force, soon, for the foreseeable future. It's about consistently getting to the playoffs. That's what they're trying to build. And unless you're just an insecure/jealous/hater, you should be able to see it as well. I never said they weren't going to be a force, they have a bunch of super young talent that is already playing well, and though their pitching staff leaves a lot to be desired right now, they definitely have the resources to improve it, especially if they pick up a Cueto/Greinke/Price this offseason.
