  1. i like robert leading off more
  2. Just thinking about next years hopeful lineup: Robert Semien Abreu Grandal Jimenez Moncada Anderson Vaughn Sheets
  3. Cesar Hernandez has power and hes a dogshit sub 700 OPS hitter. Cronenworth was a reserve for the NL and his stats are not that much better than Madrigal, so i dont see why being an allstar is out of reach. I guess you see Madrigal as having reached his ceiling and potential already while I see more room to grow (in all fields). Madrigals last 15 games since changing his hitting approach (less contact more power): .545 slugging (no i dont think thats what he is, but he can develop into a respectable .450+ guy). I do agree with you though that the injuries are concerning, so the trade will hinge on that and Kimbrel's playoff presence.
  4. He was a rookie and his defense was improving. Everyone else gets a pass during the first couple of years but not Madrigal. His first year was his ceiling to most people for whatever reason. The Cubs had the choice between him and Crochet and wisely chose Madrigal. He is going to be an allstar for years to come.
  5. they should do a 'post allstar break' Tale of the Tape
  6. Another ace pitcher developed by the indians. Cant wait to see what they do with Pilkington
  7. Very good chance the Astros overtake the Rays for the 1 seed.. Who would you guys prefer?
  8. Congrats to the guys, they fought through some terrible injuries.
  9. I would like to see a playoff lineup on the field for the remaining games to get in a groove. I just looked over at the Astros games and see their guys consistently in the lineup and they have been mashing the ball.
  10. 2021 isnt over yet
  11. According to this stat page: https://www.teamrankings.com/mlb/stat/last-3-innings-runs-per-game We are the 3rd worst team when it comes to scoring from the 7th-9th inning. We average only 1.09 runs
  12. Just saying this team hasnt shown the ability to fight back, be it bullpen or offense. I really wish I had the record im sure someone can provide it. Only the Diamondbacks are worse from what I remember
  13. Whats our record after trailing from the 6th inning on? I think we have 1 win, maybe 2.
  14. If I was an Astros fan I would be very very happy right now
  15. 0 focus on this team, so infuriating
  16. Now he brings in Bummer, what great managing
  17. maybe TLR should just forfeit the remaining schedule since winning isnt important to the team
  18. The Cubs got their revenge.
  19. 19 IP for Kimbrel this year, 12 ER
  20. We have the 2020 Kimbrel right now, the Cubs got the 2020 Heuer. Poetry.
  21. we gave up 5 years of Madrigal and Heuer for this turd. Heuer since the trade: 25.2 innings, 0.84 WHIP, 1.40 ERA
  22. Bummer's last 7 games: 5.2 IP, 1H, 8 SO, 0 BB
