  • Um...The Astros have something of a sordid history involving their use of video.

  • Hard Carl is going to limp out of the dugout ala Kirk Gibson and throw a complete game 2 hit shutout.

Do you want his social security number too?  I mean as old as he is, it is probably like five numbers.

A little confused on the Rodon bit. Wouldn't commit either way to what?

Is Rick Hahn speaking on Rodon?

TLR really doesn’t like Rodon health eh? So many strange comments last couple weeks.

Yeah, it’s a little weird. A game 3 start for him is like 9 days away.

Well it’s playoff roster spot , is he really healthy? Can he go 5 in a playoff or will he go two and have shoulder issues. I think that is what they are trying to determine.

Even if Rodon can't throw upper 90s you still gotta put him on the roster. He's still been effective with the lower velocity and is way more useful than someone like Marshall. You honestly can't even throw Marshall in a close playoff game.

All of the comments Tony has had about Rodon for weeks now has been bizarre. Why would it be anything different now, I guess?

If he can give you at least 60 pitches and keep his fastball at/above 90, you have to have him on the playoff roster. It's not like Burr or Marshall or Ruiz or whoever you'd replace him with is going to be worth anything.

He fucking better be, a half dead zombie arm Rodon is better than Dallas.

What is Rodon saying about his arm?

The guy who is about to be a free agent is saying that his arm is fine.

Then with a clear conscience, we can let him start on a short leash.

Ugh. Feel bad for him and us. That said, he unloaded every bullet he had this year to help win a division title and we'll always have that and the no hitter.

Bank on him going 3 innings but hope they are quick innings and he can go longer.

Rodon for 3 and Kopech for 3 is a good combo. Just need the other 3 starters to go long enough that you can hand it off to Tepera/Bummer/Kimbrel/Hendriks without needing Kopech in any of those games.

Kopech should be able to go 1 inning in game 1, and then 3 innings in game 3 IMO.

He should be able to, but whoever starts game 1 should be able to go 5 and make it unnecessary.

That’s 4 innings to cover. Kopech could have one of them.

I think the plan is to have Tepera-Bummer-Kimbrel-Hendriks be the 6th-7th-8th-9th inning guys.

Tepera and Bummer could be swapped given whether more lefties are expected to bat in the 6th or 7th.

I don't see Kopech in Game 1 or 2 unless the starter gets in trouble before the 6th or if one of the back end bullpen guys gets in trouble.
