I would be happy bringing back Palka for RF if it meant we were signing Bauer. Starting pitching is our absolute #1 need imho & Bauer is my numero uno target.

What is the job security of Dave Roberts? They make the playoffs every year with their massive payroll but are always a bridesmaid. Granted I only watch the Dodgers in the playoffs, but I have always been unimpressed with Roberts' in game decisions.

Monday....Sox get rid of Renteria and Cooper.... I wonder who is this team? Wednesday....Sox get permission to interview Tony Larussa....oh there they are.

Maybe this is just one of those deals where they sign Tony to a one day contract to manage so that he can retire a White Sox.

I am just going to say that it is more important what starting pitching the Sox bring in the offseason than who the next manager will be imho.

Speaking of managers and not just candidates, am I one of the few here that thinks Dave Roberts is an awful manager? I only follow him somewhat in the playoffs, but it seems to me he has made some horrendous managerial decisions over the last few years.

Am I remembering correctly, Poppy, that Leland would not interview with the Sox because he did not like the way they dismissed Lamont?

Maybe they will make Cooper one of those team ambassadors....I mean he has such a mutual respect for and from Sox fans.
