  1. Speaking as someone who regularly would get upset with the White Sox blowing a game in September when they have already been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs in August....just bring White Sox baseball back under any cockamamie rule set and playoff structure that they want...I want to see Gio Gonzalez actually pitch for the Palehose dammit!!!
  2. With revenues of 10 Billion, I would hope that they profited at least 10 million
  3. This would have been a great opportunity to give the sport a tremendous boost. Can you imagine what the tv ratings would have been for that Field of Dreams game? It would have been a great reminder that this is America's pastime. Just play James Earl Jones' speech before the game and play some damn baseball!!! That being said...both sides are at fault, but I have a hard time siding with the players when they have mouth pieces like Blake Snell.
  4. You know, someone has to play for the Cannon Ballers...welcome to the White Sox organization all unranked selections!!
  5. Plus Blaze is at least a 65 grade name!!
  6. Might they be more talented Seniors with the draft only being 5 rounds or am I thinking about that wrong, Ray?
  7. Timmy Anderson is going to be the SS on the South Side for the next 15 years, so to paraphrase The Hawk, "Where was Ed gonna play?"
  8. I was surprised to see that he played 16 seasons in the majors...prayers to his family at this difficult time...RIP
  9. Mount Carmel has had some tremendous talent coming out the last few years with Howard and Thomas before him. That's great to see!!
  10. Should take: Mick Abel Will take:. Garrett Crochet
  11. To be honest...I'd sacrifice all of them
  12. My following prediction is with no inside knowledge claimed by me just a hunch...Max Meyer falls to the White Sox...but do they pick him if that happens??
  13. OK, deal with the devil time. If you could bring back baseball and White Sox baseball especially immediately but you had to forgo one of the other local major professional sports teams from ever returning who would you sacrifice: Bulls Blackhawks Bears (My apologies to the Fire and the Sky fans for not including them in this scenario and sorry but you also can't list the Cubbies here)
  14. Great opportunity to maybe get some new fans to the sport with no other live sports available. But I guess they are going to blow that by not being able to reach a compromise. Very disappointing.
  15. That was a great game to re-enjoy tonight...and Berman was as biased as I remembered him. At one point in my life, I would look forward to Sportscenter and relish Chris Berman showing an Ivan "bubbling" Calderon highlight....but I really grew to dislike Berman during this series against the BoSox.
  16. Considering that I have found myself watching televised cornhole and a 'professional" rock skipping contest recently, I could not agree with you more. I have a 12 pack of Sox Ale in the basement ready to chill up for the beginning of this season.
  17. What surprised me about that game was when Jenks came in and he only had 4 saves at the time....I remembered that Hermanson was the closer for most of the year but I did not remember that Jenks only had 6 saves in the regular season in 2005...then Hermanson came in to pitch the 10th inning and I had totally forgotten that he had come back from injury to pitch at all late in 2005...but what I do remember not fondly is the dread that the Indians were gonna catch us in the standings ...Wake me up when September ends is what I remember
  18. I'm really doubting the offensive fire power of the Korean baseball league as I watch Despaigne mow them down
  19. Watching the 9th inning now, anxiously waiting the Crede walkoff. I am remembering how stressful that late September was!!
  20. Let's get some live baseball back and maybe get some new fans to our national past time... actually I just want it back myself but thought I'd throw out another reason for "the good of the sport" ?
  21. I'd love it if he fell to #11 from everything I've read....but I highly doubt that happens.
