I am not crazy about the pick up just because it helped Cleveland clear some payroll that they did not want to pay and he was part of just a stupid ploy by Hahn but I agree he has looked good so far. He is definitely a professional hitter up there and his defense has been good when at 1B.

Would the offense be better with a DH platoon of Davidson and Palka...maybe but then you've got 2 guys taking up that spot who are lousy defensively. Alonso should put up decent power numbers even though the reason they traded for him is a joke (no matter how much Hahn denies the reason why)

Any talk about Moncada not being comfortable at 3B seems to have been wrong. I do not like the stupid games the Sox played in trying to get Machado at less than market value but it could end up being fine in the long run not getting him if Moncada continues his development and Madrigal comes up and is a table setter who can play gold glove caliber 2B. What a terrific start for Moncada..I know it is just 2 games but his approach has been very encouraging.

I think Palk Smash is out of options...I think Skinny Palka can be sent down ?
