  1. Losing with Alonso and Jay in the lineup is hard to take. I'd rather they turn a page and move on from them both. I am going to give a bit of a meathead take here, but I'd rather see a lifelong Sox fan like Tilson in the lineup than Jay. And I think I'd rather see Cordell more because of his upside. Give Cordell extended at bats and see what we have and if he does not produce, move on.
  2. Jon Jay may be a useful player, but I do not remember a player with more apathy about in the recent history of the White Sox. Jon Jay has been reinstated...meh. Even someone like Despaigne got a better reaction when he was called up, although that reaction was generally "who?"
  3. No I think Fry is pointing to the hot girl in the front row
  4. Ugh, that is an ugly bottom of the lineup today...I will go with Eloy
  5. Giolito might need to throw a shutout with that bottom of the order today. I understand the hate for Alonso and Jay but don't forget Rondon, he has been awful this year as well.
  6. Or Santiago
  7. For all the nonsense of him being here because he's someone's brother in law and the fact that he has been awful, he does seem to be a likeable guy. I Know that is not a reason to keep him around and I do think he should be dfa sooner rather than later, there is still a part of me that does want him to work out for the Sox.
  8. Great rest of the story ? Thanks Lip
  9. I was looking up Jaime Navarro, who was so awful especially for the contract he signed and I had totally forgotten that the Sox actually traded him for Cal Aldred and Jose Valentin!! How did they get anything for him let alone 2 guys who actually played well for the Sox especially Jose?
  10. Thanks. I'm still hoping he can be a useful piece in the bullpen. I liked how he seemed to accept his "demotion" to the pen. I say give him the rest of the season with the Sox and let's see what we've got. Like you said he can be hard to square up. Throw strikes Carson.
  11. It looks like he threw strikes and that is a good first step for him imho
  12. Did not see the game at all and just looked at the box score...did Fullmer look good or is that line deceiving.
  13. In 10 years time or so, Odaris Despaigne will be the answer to a query on Soxtalk "hey remember that starting pitcher who never really warmed up before games and sucked?". That is the next time I'd like to hear about him please. Just release his sorry butt and bring up Santiago.
  14. Osich and Minaya with great efforts tonight. Marshall with first bad game but Rick really left him in too long.
  15. Yonder seems like a really nice guy but he is got to go...give his at bats to Palka
  16. Oh this is an arbitration strategy? My mistake.
  17. Wtf Ricky get him outta there
  18. Tremendous outing from Osich tonight
  19. Note to Lance Lynn...Tim Anderson can hit a fastball ?
  20. I think Mazara preferred that guy throwing BP earlier in the game
  21. In that case...not much of a disguise
  22. I'm beginning to think that Despaigne is actually Jose Paniagua in disguise
  23. Rangers throwing some leather that inning
