2026 NFL off season thread
Ducksnort replied to southsider2k5's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I read "landing Josh Allen" and thought the Bears "landed" him lmao -
Yeah, he is a fantastic broadcaster, but I'd have a hard time with him being completely neutral on air with national broadcasts and then being completely for my team the other 75% of the time or whatever, and if his goal is to do national broadcasting full time it wasn't going to last anyway. Still feels weird that he's in Detroit. Wonder how long that is going to last.

I think these crosstown matchups should be more entertaining this year than they have been in a long time. Cubs are good, Sox should be a lot more competitive. Looking forward to those games. Seeing the May 15th showdown in person this year. Oddly enough I've seen 3 crosstown matchups, all at Wrigley, this will be my first on the south side.

I think they'll move Colson to 3B to make room for Roch at SS. -
Eh. Detroit could do a lot more. I think the Illich's are content with what they have on the field because of the terrible division.

Is “The 78” Dead? Or even more alive? Fire announce plans for SSS

I hope we don't have to go through this s%*# when it becomes the Sox turn for a new stadium. This is exhausting. -
Love the aggressiveness on the basepaths. Hoping that translates to the regular season.

2026 MLB Draft Thread...White Sox Control Draft/Roch the House
Ducksnort replied to caulfield12's topic in FutureSox Board
Yeah but usually when they bring them up quickly they're rushing development. I realize that Roch is an unusual case though, might be MLB ready now... -

Time to go get us an aircraft carrier. Do you really think he would be on the major league squad as soon as 2027? -

I can tell you the reasons. -
First Lopez and now Ryan. We'll ultimately see what happens with Ryan but the Twins were already in a bad spot. Hope the Sox can capitalize on their woes.

It will be interesting to see how they handle the ABS when it comes to strike-him-out throw-him-out situations. I wonder if the umpires will allow pitch challenges to happen after throwing to the base. -

Didn't know the A's signed Muncy. I know Muncy is an aging player who was injured a lot last year, but if he can at least be an average bat and stay relatively healthy, this A's lineup could be a real powerhouse with those other young guys they have. Kurtz, Langeliers, Wilson, Rooker, Soderstrom. -
Per Passan: White Sox sign Munetaka Murakami 2 years 34M

Sounds like Jose Abreu-esque work ethic. Not a bad thing at all. But yes, breaks are important too lol. -
Where do you live
-
It has been a brutal winter man, and last summer was brutal. Hoping for a mild one this year, we're all pretty done with it lol. But aside from weather, this region really comes alive in the warmer months. It's great to be around

And right now it's 30 degrees with rain and snow in West Michigan. Again, I'll take 61.
