Yeah...what's funny is it's a pontiac but the engine itself is a matrix between GM and Toyota (I think GM owned Pontiac at the time or something), so technically it's a Toyota engine which are supposed to be great...

Anyone here know much about cars? I own a 2009 pontiac vibe, AWD, 90,000 miles. Literally just bought it like 5 months ago, and as I am driving, the oil light comes on and then engine starts clicking. I immediately bring it in to the mechanic (trusted mechanic) and they tell me the engine is pulling less than 14 pounds of oil pressure, indicating the engine is done and it needs a new one or it needs to be rebuilt. Would be $5000-$6000 (which is right around what I bought it for...), any suggestions on what to do? I'm leaning toward getting a different vehicle, but then I feel like I just wasted money on this thing which I owned for like 5 months. Ughhhhhhh.
  3. Forgot about our guy Jake Burger
  4. Don't read too much into what people say on social media. I know very good genuine people who, if I judged them based on their social media presence, I would have a completely different and negative opinion on who they are as people.
  5. Sounds like someone needs to take a timeout.
  6. To be fair, the MLBPA sent out that statement, not the MLB
  7. Interesting indeed. There's been a lot of sourness regarding MLB essentially owning the minor leagues now, myself included...I wonder though if the minor leaguers will get better treatment as a result, and companies like BLA won't need to exist?
  8. And then if all goes to plan (which it never does) you have a 2022 rotation of Giolito, Kuechel, Cease, Kopech, Crochet. Stock that pen up in the offseason.
  9. Exactly what I was thinking lol.
  10. Eh, they could do it. They usually have 6:00 start times on Saturdays I believe. it probably has to do with when they think the most people are back home from work, finished dinner, kids winding down from the day, etc. But I have noticed more and more teams are trending toward earlier start times, probably due to games lasting longer. The more interesting parts of the game usually is the 5th inning and later anyway.
  11. Me too. Just wish the sox home games would start at like 6:10 instead of 7:10 central
  12. Lol true true
  13. Been there. Sorry man that sucks. I'm sure you've heard lots of different ways to get it better. Physical therapy worked wonders for me.
  14. Is he in front of live reporters here? Or just a camera?
  15. So are we at the point now where we are going to cherry pick everything someone we we don't like says in order to make them look like an awful person? Cause that's kind of where it feels like we're at right now.
  16. Welp...I just lost a ton of respect for Yoan Moncada...
  17. Compassion is the correct response in these events. Not accusatory anger.

  19. fan-frickin-tastic!
  20. What? I thought the Sox had good ratings in 2020?
  21. I wonder why NBC Sports Chicago didn't pick up more games to televise...you'd think there would be a lot more interest in the spring training games than whatever else they have on at 2 pm central time on any day of the week. EDIT: I'm sure most of the games where we don't have whitesox broadcasting access, we'll probably have access to the other team's broadcast (for MLB.TV subscribers)
  22. That's a big correction there Morosi...
  23. I wish it too, especially with me being on the eastern time zone
