  1. Yeah I don't care for that look. If they say players need to shave their beards, then make them wear undershirts too lol...if theg gon be showing chest.
  2. Yep, probably
  3. I hope this is a depth move. Gio, Lynn, Kuechel, Cease, and that final 5th spot is a fight to the death between Lopez and Rodon. Spring training will be big for both of them, until Kopech is ready.
  4. Yeah...don't really like that Rodon is back.
  5. Didnt he sign with Detroit?
  6. This is simply not true. Yes, Cooper needed to go, but the excitement with Katz is we have actual evidence that his coaching style works. What he did with Giolito was a huge factor in him going from the literal worst starting pitcher in the league to one of the best. The general pessimism doesn't apply to Katz because there is legitimate hope that he can do the same thing with Cease and Lopez.
  7. This is pretty much where I am at. Offseason isn't over. Also, a lot of teams make moves in the middle of the season to upgrade their roster too. The additions don't stop once the season starts. Obviously, depth is an issue. Also obviously, the front office realizes this. I am confident they will address it. Not to the demand of fans on message boards that it happens immediately, but it will happen. I for one am excited about our coaching. I think TLR is going to push these guys to unleash their potential, and I think he's going to force them to play SMART baseball, and when they don't, he'll know how to handle it. I think we are going to see some amazing things from our pitchers this year with Katz, who from listening to and reading about, has lots of tricks up his sleeves. I am very excited about that. Can you imagine if Lopez and Cease were fixed, and Kopech comes out pitching like a stud? Like if all 3 were fantastic...and we have real evidence of that with Katz and Giolito... that's something to be excited about.

Thank you for sharing this. There is always more to the story than what people think...

And then it would have been an absolute shitstorm meltdown once Toronto signed Springer, because you know those rumors would have been heating the imaginary hot stove up to the highest setting, because the Sox would have not signed a right fielder yet. And then after all the bs speculation, they sign Joc, oh my word, can you imagine what the response would be? My computer would explode.

I personally think he just wants to stick with blue uniforms

I've switched mindsets. Instead of being upset and confused as to why others are upset, I'm just going to be facetious.

Great, now the Cubs are going to sweep the Sox in all the cross town series this year. I'm IRATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. I would imagine any owner of anything would not like profit loss.
  14. Well, he definitely has the confidence. I'm a big believer in Nick, but he almost sounded a little cocky...which may not be a bad thing. Let's see what happens when the game humbles him. I don't think that's happened, like, really happened, yet.
  15. I really don't understand it. We've been miserable enough over the years, this is the year to be excited. I for one would rather be optimistic, especially when there is good reason to be, rather than angry and upset and narcissistic. Yes, they need to address the depth. I agree. Is that worth name calling and degrading? No.
  16. What a ridiculous thread.
  17. The league average is 107 million. White Sox are currently at 120 million, so above average, 13th in the league, right above the Jays and below the Cubs. I firmly believe the pandemic played a major role in the Sox not pursuing more targets this offseason, like pretty much every other team except for the Mets (Padres don't count...they traded everyone) Depth is the scary thing. No doubt. But...I wouldn't say the Sox are being cheap right now.
  18. Can't stop won't stop get it get it
