  1. Those pitches shouldve been Collins'. Skole had 3 rolling breaking pitches all down the middle and barely fouled them off. We're shouldnt see him anymore after this year
  2. Wasn't it the white jerseys that everyone hated though (including myself)? I thought the black unis with the Sox looked great. I for one really like the new design, it's simple but it works. Unique too.
  3. Yeah, exactly, my comment basically agreed with what Gio said and someone else took it to the level that you suggested it turned in to about management. It's ad nauseam
  4. And they are trying to change it. Holy shit you people live in a miserable world. Try looking ahead to the positives that we can see coming to fruition in this team. Everyone knows how bad this team's history is when it comes to winning championships. They are trying to change the narrative with sustained long term winning and the front office has made it clear that is what they are trying to do. Should we trust them to do it. Are they the right ones to? Who the hell knows. Yall would say based on track records no. I say this is the first time the team has rebuilt intentionally like this and give them a chance. You cannot with 100 percent certainty say that this front office screwed the rebuild up unless this team doesn't win a championship in 2-4 years. You just can't. You can doubt, that's fine, but I choose to have hope. This management did win one championship when all others failed. They can do it again.
  5. Can you imagine how much publicity that dude would get if he played for the Yankees?
  6. Thats fine but my comment jived with the original post.
  7. Um, I think the first exam was who are you going to get back for your trades. I would say passed with flying colors so far with seeing how Jimenez, Gio, Moncada, and i think eventually Lopez are panning out. You'll see Kopech next year. That was the first exam. The development seems to be working. Idk how this year is a C. Literally every player who has needed to show improvement has, and has done it very well. Gio (exceeding expectations by a long ways), Lopez in the 2nd half, Anderson destroying the baseball all year, Moncadas eye has improved drastically and has been around .300 all year, Jimenez power has shown and he would probably be pushing 40 homers if not for the injuries, what a pleasant suprise McCann has been, Bummer and Marshall, even Leury, Jose's offense is still elite I don't care what the advance stats say, he's a starting 1B or DH on any world series team. Well, year 3 probably would have been better if Kopech, Dunning and Rodon didn't all need TJS, and Robert didnt lose a year because of his thumb. Bet good money this team would be .500 if those 4 players were on this roster. And I bet Robert would be up here if the Sox were around .500. As Parkman said, shit happened and it slowed the rebuild down.
  8. This narrative is already beaten like a dead horse. But I guess I'll keep beating it. It's year 3 of the rebuild. What did you think this year was going to look like? Hahn himself said at the beginning of the season that the success of 2019 will not be measured by wins and losses, but by the progress made by our core pieces. I would say we have seen that, and this year has been pretty successful by that measure.
  9. The elote stands also are cash only. Was disappointed to see this last game I went to...had a rare hankering for the mexican street corn
  10. What I was thinking exactly. No one is in that clubhouse and understands how hard these players work. We hide behind computer screens and complain about people not doing their jobs publicly without any real knowledge of what goes into it. Sad really.
  11. To everyone living in the central time zone...How do you feel about the 6:00 start vs the 7:00? Living in the eastern zone, this 7:00 start is very refreshing after all the 8:00 starts.
  12. He still had a very productive year. I would bet money that any playoff team would take him in a heartbeat
  13. lol @ Timmy telling the ump to look at the board
  14. To me, Palka is the biggest disappointment of the year. I really thought we found a hidden gem in him being our left handed power DH after what he did last year. Such a shame. Collins on the other hand looks like he's figured something out. Would you all rather he be the back-up catcher next year, or the DH?
  15. Is this Puig's first stint in the AL?
  16. This game is a clear concrete example of why the Sox need their starting pitching to work next year. Good Starting pitching keeps you in the ballgames.
  17. More Eloy vs Clevinger please
  18. I mean they have competed with some WS contenders this year...Minnesota at times, cleveland at times, Yankees, didn't they win the season series against Houston?
  19. Cease ceased the tribe in that inning. Kd the side
  20. Why does McCann take for freaking ever to get in the box
  21. Cease trying to redeem himself. Palka (RF) and Collins (DH) in the lineup
  22. 28 runners left on base...safe to say the Sox had their opportunities??
  23. Yoan should've hit that 3-0 fast ball down the middle
