  1. Yes, Rocchio anticipated a fastball but still, I was surprised how a little dude pulled a high/ outside 99 mph fastball half way up the foul poll.
  2. Davis Martin was awful leaving way too many innings for the pen to cover in the first game of a four game series. Taylor's final pitch was predictable - Roccio was all over it. That was a rough one my friends...
  3. Time to burn up their bullpen.
  4. That Home run could possibly be a huge hit in this game, in this series, and maybe in this season. It feels like a huge shift of mojo.
  5. Chase! Leave the starter in a little longer. LOL.
  6. True that, but Sox may not be done scoring.
  7. 4 f'n doubles in one inning!
  8. Three doubles and only one run so far. JFC.
  9. This is going to be a big game with a play-off atmosphere. "Sit back and strap it down." You too Ron.
  10. I was attempting to make an analogy to two current mlb players with the key word "might" attached to it. Read my post again.
  11. Grady Emerson might be the next Bobby Witt Jr. . Chowlowsy profiles more like Dansby Swanson. Good players with different qualities and potential. If you can see that analogy a bit, take it one step further...who would you rather have right now if you could choose between Dansby Swanson and BobbyWitt Jr.? I like Grady Emerson, hands down and his timeline fits much better within the White Sox current system.
  12. If Mune is running at or close to full speed ( at least one video looked like he is) and hitting without any leg pain, he could be activated tomorrow. Mune at DH with Gonzo at 1st. Ideally, the Sox need at least a split with Cleveland to keep the momentum going into All Star break. The line-up will finally be assembled. Go into Cleveland with all guns blazin' for the 4th of July holiday. Can't afford to give any more games away like they did in Game 3 with the O's. All aboard.
  13. Schultz seemed like the same Schultz we have seen before. You really have to use your imagination to think that he can be a consistent starter. He's gotta throw more strikes.
  14. The silence surrounding Murakami's (anticipated) return is deafening. Maybe tomorrow?
  15. Ishbia is not and may not be in the picture as you say next year when it is time to extend Mune. There is no way JR and the current organization will let Mune walk without offering him an enormous contract. He is too important to this team and to this city of great baseball fans. It would be like allowing Michael Jordan to walk. Not going to happen.
  16. Good question. I was going to say Schweitzer, but as well as he pitched in relief...
  17. Gonzalez had a good game against weak pitching. Don't get carried away with projecting him as a starting player quite yet. Once Murakami comes back (maybe in a few days) Gonzalez goes back to the Minors. IF Benintendi gets traded, then the LH DH spot would be open for Gonzo. And no Roch is not going to automatically replace Colson Montgomery, unless he can hit at a 40 HR / year clip with a wooden bat.
  18. Great dive and slide at home by Antonacci to take the lead on Colson's double. He correctly used his (bare) left hand to reach for the outside of the plate (not the mitt on his right hand) ....which made me wonder which hand the sliding mitt should be worn on. Great base running though on a clutch hit to go ahead 3-2 in the 8th.
  19. Yea, there is no MLB requirement (that I am aware of) that a player on the IL list must go down to the Minors for a rehab assignment. Mune has been rehabbing all along so no need to send him to the Minors. I have a hunch (more of an uninformed guess) that Mune will be activated for the upcoming 4 game series with the Guardians.
  20. Bad memories linger from that one Britt Burns pitch that ended the season for the great '83 White Sox. That ending only makes me realize how hard it is to even get to that point. We keep asking ourselves as White Sox fans, "are they really this good?" And this team continues to answer that in the affirmative. This team has what it takes to go for it...all of it. There , I said it.
  21. Yea, Burke laying claim as a key part of the top of rotation.
