QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 22, 2014 -> 10:36 AM) Damn. Now 6'3 252 4.5 40. For comparison, Urlacher was 6'4 258 4.57 40. And I will end the comparisons there . Yeah, I totally buy the 4.5 40 time. I'm not sure there is anything more worthless than self-reported 40 times or a 40 time reported by a player's trainer.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Apr 21, 2014 -> 11:31 AM) I feel like that was the same argument last time, and then he pulled in guys like Appling, Harris and Payne and almost went to another Final Four this year. He had Kalin Lucas, Summers and Green coming back following a final four run. Plus Appling and Payne were already committed and on campus at the time he flirted with the Cavs. Not the same situation at all.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Apr 21, 2014 -> 11:08 AM) I don't see Izzo taking that job unless Love signs an extension or somehow promises he'll stick around. Pretty sure that's why he didn't take the Cleveland job a few years ago. The one thing that could contribute to Izzo wanting to jump is that with Harris going pro MSU isn't going to be very good next year (possible tourney team but nothing more) and he has actually struggled recruiting the last couple years so it will be at least a few years before MSU is competing for a Final 4 again.

QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 20, 2014 -> 11:16 PM) Can't score in the fourth quarter, but can't use Boozer for scoring because that's against the "Boozer can't play in fourth quarter" rule Boozer has also been awful offensively this year and wasn't particularly good tonight either.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 15, 2014 -> 01:43 PM) WSU fans are pretty confident Marshall won't go to Tennessee. They're a pretty delusional fan base in general so it doesn't mean a whole lot but thought I'd pass it along. He is in a position where he can wait for a much better job than Tennessee at this point.

2014 Draft class
QUOTE (Marty34 @ Apr 10, 2014 -> 04:47 PM) The need for an impact bat just got greater. If it came down to Rodon, a HS pitcher, or Jackson, I could see the Sox taking Jackson now. The Sox should take whoever they feel is the best player available regardless of position. Major league needs should never be a factor in the MLB draft.

So Dorial Green Beckham from Missouri is a piece of s***. I wonder if he gets punished despite not being arrested. It makes me sad that schools (including Illinois) continue to let guys get away with crap like this solely because they are decent athletes. http://www.stltoday.com/sports/college/miz...0c30c2af0f.html

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Apr 10, 2014 -> 03:10 PM) My rankings right now: Wisconsin crapshoot Rutgers Wisconsin is a clear favorite and Rutgers is the definitely the worst team. I would say you are looking at Michigan, Ohio State, Illinois, Maryland, Iowa and Nebraska as the next 6 in some order with all being tourney teams. Northwestern, Purdue, Penn St., and Rutgers definitely won't make the tourney.

QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 10, 2014 -> 03:04 PM) Fantastic defensive rebounder? He averaged 4 a game. They were pretty bad defensively this year w/o McGary, so if he leaves it wouldn't matter. His defensive rebounding rate was 2nd in the conference and his offensive rebounding rate was 4th. That is a fantastic rebounder. And they were pretty bad defensively while having good defenders and rebounders in Morgan and Horford playing center. If you don't have McGary I really don't see who protects the rim or grabs rebounds on that roster so what was a pretty bad defense this year could get even worse and certainly won't improve and unless Michigan is just as efficient offensively next year as this year it is really tough to win big when you are that bad defensively.

QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 10, 2014 -> 02:21 PM) Horford transferring. Oh well. He was pretty soft for a big guy. Wonder if this means McGary returning. Nik denying reports he's leaving. Most assuming he's gone so not sure why he's denying it. I certainly wouldn't describe a guy who was a fantastic defensive rebounder as soft. I have to imagine that this means McGary is returning or its a really odd move since Horford would have seen a ton of playing time next year. If McGary goes pro Michigan is going to be absolutely dreadful defensively next year now though.

Final Four
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 7, 2014 -> 10:26 PM) Would you vote UCONN number 1 overall? I could see people justifying not doing so. They lost to Louisville by double figures 3 times including a 33 point beat down. They got swept by SMU. They just aren't that good.
-
Final Four
This UConn team is easily one of the worst champions ever. Two times in the last 4 years they have won national titles with mediocre teams. Sigh.
-
Final Four
This has been a poorly played game. I can't believe this UConn team is 1:50 from a national championship.

QUOTE (juddling @ Apr 7, 2014 -> 06:34 PM) Captain America vs Superman vs Batman Well I'm not seeing Superman v. Batman regardless of when it comes out but one of those two movies will end up moving. I just don't see anyway that a sequel to a s***ty movie directed by Zach Snyder that is also adding a bunch of characters won't be bad.

Final Four
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Apr 7, 2014 -> 07:05 AM) Yes, the seeding was terrible this year. Seeding relies heavily on RPI and RPI relies too much on games from earlier in the year. Kentucky especially is a very different team than the one that lost to weaker teams earlier in the year. Louisville got punished because the bottom half of their conference was so bad. Kentucky had a decent run in the SEC tournament but they lost 3 of their last 4 regular season games which included a loss to a dreadful South Carolina team. They've looked like a different team in the tournament but it isn't like they were playing tremendous basketball down the stretch that would have indicated a run like this coming.

So yeah, the Pacers are down 30 to the Hawks at home in the first half. The wheels have completely come off for that team. And I'm officially labeling Evan Turner a bust. He sucks.

Final Four
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 5, 2014 -> 07:57 PM) The first game had to be one of the worst Final Four games in recent memory. I'm thinking this second one will be 100% more exciting. Go Bucky. It was better than every game involving Butler.
