Terrible by Groce to play Ekey over Hill and Nunn down the stretch and while Egwu played better than he has recently he is just such an awful basketball player. He has literally the worst hands I've ever seen by a D-1 basketball player. Illinois up 2 and run a good out of bounds play that a normal Big 10 center catches and gets a layup on and instead the ball goes right through his hands and Iowa gets a layup at the other end. Just a killer.

Egwu has the worst hands I've ever seen.

It is amazing how different a team looks when they actually make some shots.

Great close to the half by Illinois. Best they have looked in a long time. Really good minutes from Nunn and Hill down the stretch.

Rice single handedly losing this game for Illinois tonight. Absolutely no reason for him to be playing so many minutes tonight with how bad he has been especially since Nunn has played well.

I have never seen a player blow as many tip dunks as Jon Ekey. It is astonishing how many of those he has missed.

Illinois just gave away 4 points on Bertrand's 2 missed free throws and Tate blowing a layup. Can't have that in a game that might be played in the 40s.
