QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Nov 20, 2007 -> 09:06 PM) Paulus just has one of those faces that you want to hit with something blunt. I'm also surprised that UofI fans don't seem to be as excited for this game as I thought they'd be. Is all focus on the football team for now? EDIT: I was going to add that Duke is getting the usual 'kid gloves' treatment from the refs, but I see it's already been mentioned. Two cheap fouls on Randle. Shocking.

This is going to sound like complaining about tonight's game but it really is just complaining about calls in Duke games in general. I still don't understand how any time a Duke player gets bumped or touch it is a foul, but Duke is allowed to use their hands constantly on defense.

Linebrink or Dotel to Sox?
Hell no on Linebrink. He isn't good and we have to give up a draft choice? No thanks.

St. Joes just missed a breakaway layup attempt that would have tied the game against Syracuse.

Chargers got away with a pretty clear pass interference on that last pass. Could end up being the biggest play in the game.

What an unbelievable win. Juice was terrific as was the defense and the receivers actually caught the ball for the most part. And man did Tressel f' up big time today. The TO when we were punting was awful. With our terrible punting game and the fact we were punting from about the 30, the worst case scenario is you get the ball at your own 30. And not calling a TO on Dufrene's fumble early in the game was just terrible as well. Since it wasn't even a close call.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Nov 8, 2007 -> 09:07 PM) I'm loving where this season's going. Agreed. I wasn't a huge fan of the premiere but the season seems to be getting stronger and I loved tonight's episode.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Nov 8, 2007 -> 06:10 PM) So will the Bears target a replacement for Brown in FA or the draft? They need to get younger on that offensive line no doubt. The Bears need replacements at every single position on offense except for TE.

I'm not going to place the Big 10 teams in order, but I think IU and MSU are the top 2 (despite MSU's terrible exhibition play) and then OSU, Illinois, and Wisconsin are the other tourney teams and could finish anywhere from 3-5. Purdue has some nice freshmen, but return basically nothing, Michigan will be bad, PSU will pick off a couple of the good big ten teams but simply doesn't have the talent to do more than that. Minny, NW, and Iowa will all be freaking terrible.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 6, 2007 -> 11:00 PM) So, Findlay won 70-68 at Ohio State, and led basically all game. WTF is up with Big 10 athletic powerhouses losing to non DI teams?? Oh, and Memphis pulled away 80-63 over Richmond. Derrick Rose had 21 points and 5 rebounds on 6-8 from the field (2-4 from 3), and 7-10 from the line, with 2 blocks, 2 steals, and 1 assist. Illinois won their 2nd and final exhibition, 76-39 over Kentucky Wesleyan. Brian Carlwell REALLY needs to be redshirted is one thing I took out of this, and Chris Hicks even had 7 points and hit a couple 3's. I'm not really sure what to take out of this game besides that, except there are tough redshirt decisions to make, Meacham and Randle looked good tonight, and Pruitt and Brock both got their first minutes and looked good. I wouldn't redshirt Carlwell. I would rather have that scholarship available for 2010. Play him and hope he comes around, if he doesn't you don't want to tie up a scholarship for 5 years.

I actually think the chances are pretty good that the Patriots go 16-0 after today. And a 4th round draft choice for Randy Moss has to be considered one of the best trades in recent years.

QUOTE(Brian @ Nov 4, 2007 -> 04:09 PM) Agreed. Refs seem to throw flags on pass interference way too much and way to easily. It's football for pete's sake. Especially against the defense. Really if anything I would have called that on Wayne. What exactly do you want the DB to do in that situation. Stop running and let Wayne go by him?

That was a really weak call against NE there. Hobbs was in good position.
