  1. QUOTE(fathom @ Dec 20, 2007 -> 08:34 PM) Illinois got a ton of calls from the refs, and still couldn't win. Bramus and Pollitz are great players to watch. Fantastic finish to the Duke game. It's just too bad Gus isn't doing these games. Frazier needs to not see the floor the rest of the year. Play McCamey, I really don't care how much he struggles. Play him and let him improve on the court.
  2. Legion's mom favors ND but his father and godfather favor Illinois. Will be interesting to see how this turns out.
  3. QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 15, 2007 -> 10:49 PM) Yeah, their main post guy is out until after January with a bad foot, but nobody else is stepping up to help Brandon. If he had guys to play with, he'd be much better. Agreed. He showed flashes, but he has no help at all. None of those guys are even respectable high school players. He got frustrated and forced some bad shots. He has unbelievable potential.
  4. QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 15, 2007 -> 10:24 PM) Paul's first possession of the game was a dunk on a sideline drive. Paul struggled today but the rest of that team is just awful.
  5. Legion visiting Illinois next week. http://msn.foxsports.com/cbk/story/7561712
  6. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 05:13 PM) Legion seems a little off but that's a real good get for Illinois if it happens. It seems like it is actually his mom that is off.
  7. QUOTE(rockren @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 01:42 PM) My friend who is a Yankee fan just told me his opinion about the list: "Easy thing to do is just not care about it." Easy for him to say when almost half the list is Yankee affiliation. Most of baseball was using steroids. When it comes to baseball players and steroids I tend to believe in guilty until proven innocent.
  8. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 01:39 PM) radio in lexington, kentucky reports alex legion to illinois. It is not official yet. But it is looking good right now.
  9. QUOTE(Fotop @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 10:11 AM) Take this with a HUGE grain of salt, as I got it from friends of friends of friends....It'll be interesting to see if it's true... Full list.. "Brady Anderson, Manny Alexander, Rick Ankiel, Jeff Bagwell, Barry Bonds, Aaron Boone, Rafaeil Bettancourt, Bret Boone, Milton Bradley, David Bell, Dante Bichette, Albert Belle, Paul Byrd, Wil Cordero, Ken Caminiti, Mike Cameron, Ramon Castro, Jose and Ozzie Canseco, Roger Clemens, Paxton Crawford, Wilson Delgado, Lenny Dykstra, Johnny Damon, Carl Everett, Kyle Farnsoworth, Ryan Franklin, Troy Glaus, Rich Garces, Jason Grimsley, Troy Glaus, Juan Gonzalez, Eric Gagne, Nomar Garciaparra, Jason Giambi, Jeremy Giambi, Jose Guillen, Jay Gibbons, Juan Gonzalez, Clay Hensley, Jerry Hairston, Felix Heredia, Jr., Darren Holmes, Wally Joyner, Darryl Kile, Matt Lawton, Raul Mondesi, Mark McGwire, Guillermo Mota, Robert Machado, Damian Moss, Abraham Nunez, Trot Nixon, Jose Offerman, Andy Pettitte, Mark Prior, Neifi Perez, Rafael Palmiero, Albert Pujols, Brian Roberts, Juan Rincon, John Rocker, Pudge Rodriguez, Sammy Sosa, Scott Schoenweiis, David Segui, Alex Sanchez, Gary Sheffield, Miguel Tejada, Julian Tavarez,Fernando Tatis, Maurice Vaughn, IJason Varitek, Ismael Valdez, Matt Williams and Kerry Wood." I really hope that Pujols isn't on the list.
  10. Things getting interesting in the Pats game. Just had a small fight. Patriots run it up and this could get real interesting.
  11. IU looks very good without some key players today. But my god is Kentucky awful.
  12. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 8, 2007 -> 03:11 PM) Glad I didn't get tickets this year, wow. Chester Frazier is useless, I thought this teams downfall would be Meacham as a 2 guard, but nope, it's Chester Frazier. I guess there is a reason he was a 2 star recruit, ugh I hate the thought of the NIT. Illinois did deserve to lose, but the refs may have won this game for Arizona and here's why: Nic Wise CLEARLY was calling timeout with 2 seconds left and the ref ignored it instead of giving him a deserved technical foul since AZ had no stoppages left, and I assume Meacham could have made 1 out of 2 technical free throws. And a special thanks to Bruce Weber for ruining the basketball program, seeing it with "his recruits" is even worse than I thought. I'd be much more upset if help wasn't on the way. A couple of years and Illini basketball will be back. Forgot to mention that O'Neill tried calling a TO with about 40 seconds left but the refs bailed him out by "fixing" the clock.
  13. QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 8, 2007 -> 01:31 PM) Speaking of Richmond, Weber better get him signed to a commitment as soon as he can. He is killing for Waukegan right now, putting in 25-30 a night. He will play against New Trier on Friday which will be a huge test. Rumors that Kansas and Duke have contacted Jereme as well. Weber went and watched him play at Glenbrook South last week. Make sure no other recruiters talk to him. Hard to believe he is only a sophomore. Richmond is committed, he can't sign a LOI till his SR year. As long as Weber is the coach and Richardson, Paul, and Bertrand are committed he will be as well. All 4 of those guys have committed and have been sold on playing together. Next couple of years will be long but help is on the way and the current freshmen are talented. Since I am still pissed, Frazier has actually played worse this year than ever before. His decision making has somehow gotten worse and still refuses to throw the ball into the post.
  14. I really don't even care about the results of this season. Play McCamey and the other freshmen as much as possible and get them ready for when Paul, Richmond, and the rest arrive.
  15. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Dec 8, 2007 -> 01:18 PM) terrible. just terrible. If Zona finishes this we can thank our awful FT shooting and Frazier.
  16. Poor call by the ref there. McClellan just flat out lost the ball.
  17. QUOTE(fathom @ Dec 8, 2007 -> 01:06 PM) Wise was about a tenth of a second away from pulling a Webber. We probably would have missed both Fts anyway.
  18. Frazier basically single handedly set this game into overtime for Zona.
  19. Weber really needs to start playing McCamey instead of Frazier. Frazier cannot handle the ball at the end of games.
  20. QUOTE(fathom @ Dec 8, 2007 -> 12:55 PM) Outside of that bad charge call on Randle, Illinois has sure been given a lot of favorable calls. No way you call that flop under the basket in that situation. Did you watch the first half? The only reason we weren't up double digits was because of the refs. But yes we got some questionable calls in the 2nd half.
  21. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Dec 8, 2007 -> 12:13 PM) Mike Davis is going to be a special player for Illinois. I really like this freshman class. Team is playing really well today. If they would have played like this against Maryland they win by 20. And our awful ft shooting has let Zona in the game. Great
  22. Mike Davis is going to be a special player for Illinois. I really like this freshman class. Team is playing really well today. If they would have played like this against Maryland they win by 20.
  23. Time to start rooting for a higher draft choice. *Sigh*
  24. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Dec 6, 2007 -> 08:39 PM) So is there ANYHING the Bears don't need upgrades on for the offensive side of the ball (and that's including coaching staff). TE
