QUOTE(fathom @ Dec 8, 2007 -> 12:55 PM) Outside of that bad charge call on Randle, Illinois has sure been given a lot of favorable calls. No way you call that flop under the basket in that situation. Did you watch the first half? The only reason we weren't up double digits was because of the refs. But yes we got some questionable calls in the 2nd half. -

QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Dec 8, 2007 -> 12:13 PM) Mike Davis is going to be a special player for Illinois. I really like this freshman class. Team is playing really well today. If they would have played like this against Maryland they win by 20. And our awful ft shooting has let Zona in the game. Great -

Time to start rooting for a higher draft choice. *Sigh*

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Dec 6, 2007 -> 08:39 PM) So is there ANYHING the Bears don't need upgrades on for the offensive side of the ball (and that's including coaching staff). TE

So I missed the game tonight and saw Hinrich only played 16 minutes. Did he get hurt or benched for his crappy play?

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 4, 2007 -> 03:19 PM) Indiana isn't even the best team in the worst Big 10 I've ever seen, not sure how they plan on winning it all. Anyways, changing your mind is fine, but don't verbally commit to a basketball program as their crown jewel recruit, lie that you have no interest in Indiana for 7 months, then "re-open" your recruitment for 3 months when you actually, it turns out, verballed to Indiana without telling anybody at Illinois. And proceed to lie to the coaching staff throughout the entire process. I would have been pissed regardless, but that is what really got me about the whole situation. And lol at comparing changing your mind about what college to attend to an athlete who outright lied to coaches he had a relationship with for 4 years during the entire process. A far closer comparison would be a guy telling his girl they are going to get married on a certain date. Then cheating on her without her finding out. Then when she believes there is some evidence he lies to her face and on the eve of the wedding after all everything has been paid he breaks off the wedding and marries the girl he has been banging on the side who also has a history of cheating . Is the fiance at fault for continually believing the guy? Yes, but that doesn't mean he isn't an asshole. -
So it would be nice if Gordon remembered how to shoot and Hinrich remembered how to play the game of basketball.
-
Wow was that close. That would have been unreal.
-
This kickoff is hilarious by the way.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Dec 3, 2007 -> 10:33 PM) Does it make me a 'non-real-football-fan' for rooting for the Patriots on that drive only because I needed a Brady TD to give me the win in fantasy football this week? I'm sick of the 72 Dolphins so I am rooting for the Patriots. Although I'm starting to think a Patriots undefeated team will be even worse.

QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Dec 3, 2007 -> 10:33 PM) BULLs***. Clearly bobbled the ball. f***ing ridiculous. Agreed, likely wouldn't have mattered with the double personal foul though.
-
I think he was bobbling that as he was going out.

QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 3, 2007 -> 10:29 PM) Hold on D in end zone. Yikes! NE getting lots of help. Did look like a hold on the replay though.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Dec 2, 2007 -> 10:50 PM) The best team I saw this year was LSU. The are the only "unbeaten in regulation" team this season. I think putting them in the title game was within the realm of right, but I understand the pissed off fans. The best team I saw this year was Oregon with Dixon. Without him...not so much. -
WTF?

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Dec 1, 2007 -> 11:53 PM) Here is my breakdown based solely on guessing, not having read anything about what specific bowls may do: BCS Championship - OSU vs. LSU Rose - USC vs. Illinois or Georgia Sugar - Georgia or Illinois vs. Missouri or Kansas (Illinois/Missouri rematch?) Fiesta - Oklahoma vs. Arizona State Orange - VA Tech vs. West Virginia Somebody tell me where I am off, please. If Hawaii wins they are in a BCS game. -

QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Dec 1, 2007 -> 11:40 PM) This seems like the most logical matchup We could potentially see a split national champion this year if that isn't the matchup. Say OSU plays Georgia and USC plays LSU. I could actually see LSU being voted number 1 they were to beat USC and Georgia were to beat OSU. -

The OSU team that beat what is likely one of the most talented teams ever in the NC game a few years back was certainly overrated. -

QUOTE(danman31 @ Dec 1, 2007 -> 10:58 PM) Thank you. That's all I care about at this point. Unless Ohio State wins, the national champ is a joke this year. Just to clarify, he said BCS bowl not championship. OSU v. LSU title game. Still don't see how KU should get in a BCS game over Missouri. -

QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Dec 1, 2007 -> 10:51 PM) I don't see how you can leave LSU out of the title game. I hope they don't get screwed like Auburn did three years ago. Not sure Auburn really got screwed. There were two other undefeated teams that year. Would Auburn have given USC a better game? Probably but I still think they get hammered. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Dec 1, 2007 -> 10:54 PM) The sad thing is that the best team in the nation was Oregon when Dixon was healthy. Agreed. If there was an MVP of college football this year it was Dixon. Amazing how bad they were without him. -
So the Bulls have finally won back to back games. They basically won that game on the glass today. Bulls out rebounded Charlotte 48-24. Another poor performance by Hinrich though.
