  1. Exactly, I have two cousins who are die hard Cub fans who are actually intelligent and knowledgable out baseball. If all Cub fans were like them I wouldn't even care if the Cubs won or not. Both of them will even admit that most Cub fans are idiots and don't deserve a world Series title.
  2. I don't really care, I was just messing with you. Forgot to add this to the end
  3. It has been rumored that they are going to make a strong push for Castillo and move Soriano to CF. The Yankees tend to get the players they want, so if they are serious about getting Castillo there is a good chance it will happen.
  4. Gash, you posted the same Anna pic twice in a row. At least be original.
  5. When did someone mention them getting Guerrero? It would obviously be either Sheff or Vlad not both. And I wouldn't be one bit surprised if they add Sheff or Vlad, Castillo and Colon.
  6. Ever hear of Jeff Weaver or David Wells?
  7. Wait, so he was banned at ESPN too. Why am I not surprised? He went on this whole big long tirade about Jews one night. Pissed everyone off, by the next morning he had been banned and had all of his posts erased. Actually, come to think of it I was still posting on the ESPN boards when he did that.
  8. Agreed that they need to draft better, but I bet if you looked at most teams who don't have the real high draft picks they all have just as many busts.

  10. I agree, I have a feeling the Yankees are going to make a play for Sheffield. I've heard they are going to push hard for Castillo and move Soriano to center so that Bernie can DH. Sheffield would then fit perfectly into right field for them. If this scenario does play out, I might just quit following baseball.
  11. *Hangs head in shame* I know, I've been slacking off but here is a few pics in order Kate Bosworth, Mila Kunis, Elisha Cuthbert, and Jennifer Garner
  12. I beg to differ, offenses can win division (see Atlanta and Cleveland throughout the 90s). Are offense wasn't consistent at all though. We would have 10 run outbursts followed by a 1 or 2 run performance. Offenses can win divisions but it doesn't win in the playoffs. Atlanta's pitching won the divisions in the 90's. Cleveland..... I'll give you that one. But Cleveland didn't win any WS's even though they did get to the big one once. Crap, sorry I meant Atlanta this year.

  14. I agree, unless he's willing to take about 500K then get rid of him.
  15. It definately would take more than 15 million to get Ponson and Millwood. Millwood alone will probably command 10+. Well if thats the case, then I'd be willing to trade for a pitcher that has that type of salary and give up some midlevel guys in exchange for taking on the contract. I just don't know if Millwood is worth 10 mill. Your probably right though, a team will overpay for him. I think 10 mill plus should be reserved for a special player or pitcher and in my mind Millwood isn't special nor is Ponson. Colon isn't even special which is why I'm stunned to see he is commanding 13 mill. Colon is more special then them, simply because he's a freaking stud workhorse. But if the Sox really are prepared to offer 13 mill, then they better be willing to spend that same 13 mill on getting someone else they feel can be an ace in here. Personally I love the idea of getting two very good pitchers. I just have a feeling the Phillies and Braves are going to get in a bidding war for Millwood's services. Also, I believe he made $10 mil this year and won't want to take a pay cut.

  17. I just hope they finally get a real owner. Its a complete joke that MLB owns the team collectively. Its not fair to the players or the fans.
  18. What, were you expecting him to be an all star. He played a great 3rd base and in my opinion eventually could win a gold glove over there. He struggled with the bat early but really came on strong in the second half. He drove in 75 runs, I don't know how much more you can expect out of the guy in his first full season. The majority of players aren't Albert Pujols.
  19. Sounds like it is going to be Pavano vs. Prior in game 6.
  20. I agree completely. If they can get past Prior then they have a fairly good shot to win the series. That is a huge if though. The Marlins haven't even announced their starter for game 6 yet. Personally I would go with Pavano, Penny has sucked in both of his postseason starts and is throwing instead of pitching.
  21. Josh Beckett looks damn good today for Florida. This guy is going to be something special. 98+ fastball with a great curveball and then he throws an 88 mile an hour change up.
