There is only one time it is acceptable to root for the Cubs and that is when they are facing a division rival or a direct competitor to the White Sox.

I was just wondering because my cousin who is at MSU also went to St. Viator, hes a sophmore though. Did you know Nick Bernardi or Joe Lazicki by any chance?
I'll admit that NIU has a great team this year and that they would most likely beat the Illini, but that doesn't mean they deserve a BCS bid. Maryland is overrated and Alabama is solid but not great. If NIU was to face a team like OU or Miami they would be run off the field by the end of the first half. Turner would probably struggle to gain 50 yards against Oklahoma's D.
Not one of those guys you mentioned is in Colon's league at all. I wouldn't mind Ponson or Pettite but the rest of those guys are #4 starters. Rueter has had a nice career but thats in the NL and unless a pitcher dominates the NL I don't like him in the AL (see Todd Ritchie and Chan Ho Park). Lidle has an ERA over 6.00, I would almost rather have Danny Wright in the rotation over Lidle.
Yeah, going to the U of I vs. Cal game in the morning and then I'm going to check out a basketball scrimmage because we have some pretty big prospects on campus.
Not for me, plans to go home for the weekend fell through, and my friends had already planned to go to the bars, and I couldn't get in because I'm only 18 and they didn't get me a fake.
cwsox, just gotta make a comment on your sig. Navarre will not win the Heisman and won't even lead his team in heisman votes. Chris Perry is the real star of the Wolverines.
Here are a few shortstops I'm pretty sure are available off the top of my head: Tejada (no chance), Kaz Matsui (unlikely), Christian Guzman, David Eckstein, and I believe Rich Aurillia is also a free agent.
