NCAA basketball 2015-16 thread

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jan 19, 2016 -> 10:53 PM) Groce has lost the team and that is the most telling piece of the story. Just pathetic right now, the new AD has to fire him. Maybe someone like Bryce Drew would be interested. Unless Bryce Drew doesn't have ambition of moving beyond Valpo we are truly f***ed if he isn't interested in taking the Illinois job. -

QUOTE (gatnom @ Jan 19, 2016 -> 07:58 PM) I think I'm finally on the fire Groce bandwagon. I still think we'd be a tournament team if we were fully healthy, but there's just no excuse for our complete lack of offense. These players should be able to do more than dribble out the shot clock and chuck long contested 2's. The offensive movement, passing, and shot selection looked good in the Purdue game for maybe the first time under Groce, but it appears that it was just a fluke. He has to be fired. And I was on the Groce bandwagon until black Friday because he did a good job his first year and I thought he would recruit at a really high level. His recruiting hasn't been terrible but it hasn't been very good either and 4 years in we still are really undisciplined on offense and he pretty clearly isn't good at coaching defense. We were really good defensively in his second year but that was pretty clearly almost entirely because Rice, Abrams and Egwu were all great individual defenders and then you had a couple of other guys who were solid (of course that team was absolutely horrendous on offense because until Hill and Nunn started playing more Rice was really the only scorer). We have to get an AD in place soon so they can be in a position to get rid of him at season's end. -
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jan 19, 2016 -> 10:10 AM) That Love trade was stupid and I said so at the time. Cleveland would be nasty with Lebron/Kyrie/Wiggins. In the long term they may regret that trade but Wiggins would not make them a better team right now. He is a bad 3 pt shooter and despite his athleticism he isn't a great defender yet.
-
Two terrible timeouts used by the Broncos in this half.
-
So Carolina has already blown a 28 pt lead this year (but they did win that game), almost blew a 23 pt lead to the Packers, and blew a 17 pt lead against the Colts (they did win that game in OT though). Surprising for a team with a good D but they have blown a lot of huge leads this year.
-
That was pathetic by Norman. Never ceases to amaze how bad DBs are at playing the ball in the air.
-
QUOTE (ptatc @ Jan 17, 2016 -> 03:16 PM) How can a team be so dominant in one half and awful in the second? I think a lot of times it is focus from the team with the big lead. As much as you are taught not to it is hard to maintain the same intensity with a huge lead. This is unbelievably pathetic football by Carolina right now though.
-
Great throw by Wilson there and horrendous play call by the Panthers. Blitzing Josh Norman on third and 11? Just stupid.
-
Bad start to the second half for the Panthers. If Wilson didn't miss a ridiculously easy throw this game is 31-14 with a ton of time left.
-
This is an ass kicking.
-
More clutch play from Russell Wilson.
-
Pretty incredible start for the Panthers. I'd love to see them blowout the Seahawks.
-
That is pathetic by the Packers D after you tie it up on the hail mary.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jan 16, 2016 -> 11:31 PM) GB with a horseshoe up it ass again. Did you see how the Cardinals scored the go ahead TD or the two PIs against the Cardinals that the refs ignored?
-
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 16, 2016 -> 11:26 PM) Wow I think he had it. Not sure though. I definitely don't think you can overturn that especially since even after it is punched by the Cardinals you can't see it clearly hit the ground from the angles they showed.
-
No f***ing way.
-
So dumb. You have to spike the ball there. NFL teams are ridiculously stupid.
-
What a f***ing play by the Packers there.
-
Obvious pass interference again. Packers getting f***ed by the refs here.
-
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 16, 2016 -> 11:08 PM) Omg. That's a call Rodgers gets That's a call basically any QB gets actually. Pretty blatant especially where the DB never played the ball.
-
That was pretty clear pass interference by Arizona on third down. Some big missed no calls go against the Packers.
-
Holy s***. That is unbelievably lucky for the Cardinals.
-
That is a pretty phenomenal catch for a running back.
-
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 16, 2016 -> 10:41 PM) If GB adds an every down RB it helps them quite a bit imo Oh no Carson Lacy was pretty damn good his first two years. The problem is you can't really rely on a guy when he has put on that much weight.
-
Palmer with just an awful performance tonight.
