2014-2015 NFL Football thread

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Nov 6, 2014 -> 08:22 AM) Peyton Manning wasn't very good in his first couple years either. All QB's don't become great overnight. In a lost season for TB, I think Glennon has shown enough to deserve to play out the year and see how he looks. He has one of the worst lines and running games helping him out right now so it's not like he's in an ideal situation there. Manning was a stud by year 2 in the NFL. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 6, 2014 -> 10:50 AM) I still think Love is a good head coach, but he just need a smart mind to take care of the offense I actually think Jeff Tedford could be that guy for Lovie if his health issues get cleared up. -
QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 5, 2014 -> 02:04 PM) I guess I just don't understand the point of criticizing a player for injuries. And considering we've had 3 years of this board b****ing about it, having it reappear because of a sprained ankle that caused him to miss 2 games...just spare me. I don't see a lot of people criticizing him for injuries. I do see people that are legitimately concerned that he is just one of those guys who can never stay healthy.
-
QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 5, 2014 -> 12:20 PM) A lot of guys don't get minor sprains when they land on a foot and roll their ankle? And choose to sit out because it isn't 100% but could probably play? Again, if you guys can't handle him sitting out for minor sprains, don't also b**** about other players playing too much, or how we should rest noah more because of his knee. he played through ankle injuries through 2011 and everyone was like "oh sit him, sit him, why won't you sit him?" A lot of guys don't sprain their ankle every time they land on a foot. If they did you would see players go down with sprained ankles nearly every game.
-
QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 5, 2014 -> 12:10 PM) He landed on a foot. It happens. It does, but a lot of guys don't get injured when that happens. Derrick Rose hasn't been healthy since the 2010 season. Why should I believe he is suddenly going to stay healthy this year?
-
QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 5, 2014 -> 11:22 AM) Good to know Bulls fans are going to irrationally oscillate between complaining of players playing on injuries and complaining about players sitting out because of injury. I'm not going to complain about Rose sitting out but until he actually shows he can stay on the court for more than a few weeks at a time I'm going to be really skeptical that he will actually be healthy come playoff time.

QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 2, 2014 -> 07:50 PM) Isaiah Moss from Simeon commits to Iowa. He's never really stood out to me in a high school game. Maybe aN AAU recruit. Simeon will start 3 Big Ten recruits. I watched a number of Simeon games last year and I can't remember him ever making plays. -

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Nov 2, 2014 -> 12:14 PM) KSU is the only one of those three that can play with ND on a neutral field. MSU's offense is weak and TCU's defense is awful. LOFL. Yep, MSU and TCU can't play with Notre Dame but a garbage North Carolina team had a chance of beating them, a mediocre at best Stanford team that just got b**** slapped by Oregon had them on the ropes and a Navy team with a losing record was only down by 3 with 4 minutes to go. You can brag when Notre Dame actually beats a good team. -

QUOTE (kev211 @ Nov 2, 2014 -> 11:45 AM) s*** like this is what makes ND fans look stupid. TCU, MSU, KSTATE, and ND are all pretty much even at this point until one of them proves otherwise. Notre Dame's entire resume to this point is a close loss to Florida State. I think they are behind those other teams until they beat a good team. -
QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Nov 1, 2014 -> 01:11 PM) -DRose will be healthy when it counts as long as Thibs isn't throwing him out there for 40 minutes which he's already starting to get pissed at(Thibs). Rose has missed 2 and a half out of the last 3 seasons. Until proven otherwyise it looks like he is just one of those guys who can't stay healthy.
-
QUOTE (kev211 @ Oct 30, 2014 -> 10:25 PM) The heat lost the first game of the big 3 era, they also lost their opener to the sixers last year as well. Can't take anything from this. Yep. And they were only 9-8 through 17 games in year 1. As long as they are healthy the Cavs will be just fine by the playoffs and we aren't going to see LeBron have too many more performances like he has tonight where he is incredibly indecisive and turning the ball over constantly.

Not looking great now. Louisville's offense really needs to put points on the board on this drive. -

I can't believe this right now. Louisville is the much better team in this one. Hope these two lucky bounces for FSU don't let FSU back in. -

Louisville is absolutely destroying Florida State late in the first half. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 30, 2014 -> 04:07 PM) I had a dream last night that ILL won this weekend 20-7 Did OSU's entire team get suspended before the game? -
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 30, 2014 -> 10:52 AM) I think he made like 3 in a row at one point. Did you spend an entire quarter in the bathroom? He made 3 shots the entire game and one was a layup and another bucket was a shot in the lane.
-
QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 30, 2014 -> 10:29 AM) His mid-range was muy bueno. Muy muy. ? He made one mid range jumper the entire game.
-
QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 29, 2014 -> 10:58 PM) I hope Westbrook wins scoring title and everyone shuts the hell up about him taking shots from Durant Maybe at some point the media will actually start targeting OKC's management and ownership for surrounding Durant and Westbrook with garbage.
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 29, 2014 -> 07:03 PM) I know I'd be excited if the White Sox hired him. There is no manager that would excite me. There are managers that I would be pissed about getting hired but there isn't a manager out there that I would ever be genuinely excited about. This isn't football or even basketball where the coach has a big impact on wins and losses.
-
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 29, 2014 -> 10:19 PM) I think I would have just sent him. and Perez has no chance here...right Would have been really close and quite possibly the most exciting play in baseball history.

Lakers over/under 20 wins?
-
Awful managing by Yost in the bottom of the 5th inning.
-
This Knicks team is f***ing awful. I can't fault Anthony for taking the money but they are going to be miserable this year.
-
Meh. Maddon is a good manager but managers just don't have a big impact on wins and losses.
