QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 28, 2014 -> 03:46 PM) There are plenty of movies that arent what you mentioned. Im sure Interstellar will do just fine And as long as Marvel continues to release quality movies I don't get the complaint. I have 0 faith that WB will make quality films with the DC characters but I just won't see those so it doesn't impact me at all.

So far we have that Cap 3 is coming out May 6, 2016 (already known), Dr. Strange November 4, 2016, Guardians of the Galaxy 2 May 5, 2017, Thor 3 July 28, 2017, Black Panther November 3, 2017, Captain Marvel July 6, 2018 (will be a woman), Inhumans November 2, 2018. Third Avengers movies will be 2 parts and titled Infinity War, first part coming out May 4, 2018 and 2nd part May 3, 2019. Awesome. Cap 3 officially titled Captain America Civil War. Chadwick Boseman to play Black Panther (really like that choice). Black Panther will also debut in Cap 3 and Iron Man will be in that as well.

QUOTE (scs787 @ Oct 27, 2014 -> 01:08 PM) Simply because that's what he was thought to be coming out of the draft. We really have no clue what sort of pass rushing skills he has as a 3-4 LB in the NFL because he hasn't been utilized in that way. There were no pass rush skills apparent as a DE simply because he was undersized and once the OT got a hand on him his speed was shot. I certainly could be wrong, and he could totally blow, but next year is his last year under contract so he's got a year (or less) to prove himself. Cornelius Washington is another guy under contract next year who could be tried there next year. He sucks. Just accept it. He is weak and has no pass rush moves. You can't rush the passer in the NFL just based on speed (especially when you aren't particularly fast). -

QUOTE (scs787 @ Oct 27, 2014 -> 12:34 PM) I'm ready to switch gears and go with a 3-4. This keeps Bostic on the field for coverage purposes and allows the Bears to pair him with a run stuffing ILB to kinda help cover up his flaws in the run game. Jones might be that guy. SMC is then allowed to play the position that had him highly regarded in the draft...Thinkin Willie Young could be solid standing up, but wouldn't hate to see a young freak drafted to play the position. Why would we think Shea could even be decent in a 3-4? He has zero pass rushing skills. -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 27, 2014 -> 10:04 AM) To be fair, his claim is that ownership lied to him about not trading him. To be fair, taking the word of Jeffrey Loria is laughably stupid and he should have gotten it in writing if he didn't want to be traded.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 24, 2014 -> 10:33 AM) B&B shouldn't be listened to with regarding U of I sports, particularly with how bad they botched the last coaching search. The trustees who complained the last time aren't around for the most part and the one who is doesn't seem to actually care and was just following along. Doubt it will be much of a factor. Mike Thomas should be more worried about his job if he fails to find a winning coach. I actually do think that if things are equal or close to equal Illinois needs to hire a minority coach just to get rid of the perception some people have. The problem is that outside of Babers there aren't a ton of good minority candidates for Illinois. And agree on Thomas. I like Groce and his hiring record and Cincy was stellar but if he fails on a second football coach at Illinois he is gone. And it really sucks but I hope Illinois loses every football game until Beckman is fired. I just don't want there to be any chance he is brought back. If he is brought back Thomas should be fired this offseason as well. -

QUOTE (Boogua @ Oct 23, 2014 -> 06:25 PM) Yeah, I wasn't a huge believer in his initially because I don't think he's all that athletic. He works his ass off though (as you can see by all the videos his dad posts on loyalty) and I think,at worst, he's a 3 and d guy. He shoots too well and works too hard not to be successful I think. Downside is a DJ Richardson type I think (Jordan is much bigger though). I think Jordan is a better shooter than DJ as well. I don't think he will be as ready to play as DJ was his freshman year because DJ played against such great competition his last year in high school but I think Jordan has better upside (despite being lower ranked) based on his size and the fact he appears to actually be able to dribble a basketball. -
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 23, 2014 -> 01:23 PM) When your coach/administration "suggests" a class and they have the power to drop you from the team and cost you your scholarship at any moment, it's not just a "suggestion" Depends on the player. Rashad McCants was definitely involved in this and there is not a f***ing chance Roy Williams would have kicked him off the team if McCants said he wouldn't take one of these classes. Of course based no his purported transcript floating around McCants may not have been able to stay eligible without these classes.

That trailer was awesome. I'm already excited for that one.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 21, 2014 -> 11:22 AM) Defense is much more about attitude then skill. If you want to play D, with his athleticism, he should be a great player. Yes, you need some athleticism but a lot of being a good defender has to do with focusing on it and bringing the energy and intensity necessary on the other end of the court. Lebron is going to bring the best out of the Cavs defense. Plus he's just an insanely talented defensive player. A generational defender (let alone his offensive game). Dude is just incredible and to be frank, I can't help but root for him despite my immediate disdain after the decision. Defense at the PG position is also pretty overrated as long as you don't have a guy who is a complete trainwreck defensively which Kyrie shouldn't be. Scheme, rebounding and rim protection are the keys to being a really good defensive team for the most part (obviously it helps if you have guys like Pippen, Payton, etc. who are fantastic on ball defenders though).

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 22, 2014 -> 09:30 AM) I must be naïve. I think like 5% of the time there's cheating going on. Maybe a higher percent on fringe-violations/shaddy stuff, like giving an AAU coach or uncle a job in a program. But straight up cash and gifts? No way. Too much social media coverage and the penalties are too stiff. If I were a coach there's no way in hell I'm chancing losing millions in salary on an 18 year old keeping something like money secret. You are naive when it comes to top prospects. It is way higher than that. -

QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 21, 2014 -> 04:48 PM) How many 5 stars does Donovan get? I don't feel like he nails a ton but his 4 stars become seniors and then destroy the 5 star freshman. Pretty many. He isn't Calipari or Coach K when it comes to landing that level of recruit but it seems like he gets a 5* recruit just about every year these days and has for a while. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 20, 2014 -> 02:08 PM) Between that game & the Clemson & NC State games, it's pretty obvious this FSU team is nowhere near as good as last years. They will likely still make the final 4, but I sure as hell wouldn't pick them to win it all. (Plus, it's probably a 50/50 chance Winston is ineligible by January.) Oklahoma State had a decent shot against them as well. -

So Brandon Marshall apparently called out Cutler today and Kyle Long ripped the fans after the game today. This season could go off the rails if they lose next week. -

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 14, 2014 -> 11:44 AM) True. But Spidermans role in Civil war is pretty big, it would be a shame to replace him I'd love to see it and hopefully Marvel gets the right back to Spiderman since Sony is doing a s*** job with the character.
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 14, 2014 -> 10:02 AM) One thing to keep in mind about it, Spiderman is an absolutely pivotal character. If they plan on doing it without him....well lets just say they shouldnt do that. I doubt the Civil War in the MCU will be the same as the Civil War in the comics. Especially since we don't have any characters in the MCU yet whose identities aren't already known.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 14, 2014 -> 09:40 AM) I actually have confidence in Josh Trank to get a good Fantastic 4 off the ground. Fox seems to have plans for their own shared universe with X Men and FF I don't think the quality of the movie is what will matter to Fox but whether it is profitable. If it is good but still does poorly financially I'm guessing Fox might give up on those characters making them a lot of money since neither of the first two Fantastic 4 movies (obviously they were both awful which hurt) were huge at the box office. I also am not sure Marvel cares all that much about getting the Fantastic 4 back other than to get their cosmic characters like Silver Surfer and Galactus.
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 14, 2014 -> 07:37 AM) They might be, im not sure. i was just reading the wiki of the core members of the group, not saying who was going to star in the movie or show They are with Marvel but Feige said this back in July: "It’s slightly more complicated than that. Let’s put it this way – there are entanglements that make it less easy. There are older contracts that still involve other parties that mean we need to work things out before we move forward on it. As opposed to an Iron Man or any of the Avengers or any of the other Marvel characters where we could just put them in." I'd guess that Universal might still have distribution rights (similar to Paramount distributing the first few Marvel movies after Disney's acquisition) and that with all of Marvel's other properties they just won't use Namor until that is cleaned up. I'm also pretty sure that at this point everything is back at Marvel other than Spiderman and his universe of characters (at Sony), X-Men and Fantastic Four and their universe of characters (at Fox). X-Men will be with Fox for a long long time unless Disney/Marvel just pays Fox a crazy amount of money. I could see Spiderman returning to Marvel for a decent amount of money fairly soon as Sony isn't that stable financially and they have a limited amount of characters and are starting to see significant diminishing returns on the Spiderman movies (and how many Spiderman movies can you really make with such a limited character base). Fantastic Four rights include Silver Surfer and Galactus and whether those stay with Fox or not long term will probably depend on the success of Fantastic Four next year. If that movie bombs I wouldn't be surprised if Fox gave up on those characters and decided to just focus on X-Men and let the rights to Fantastic Four revert back to Marvel and just
