I got a Bush shirt that has a picture of him and says "Not My President"

Even Liebermann? I have faith that the Democrats won't be so f***ing stupid as to pick Lieberman.

I am writing to announce the start of a campaign to promote Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) for President of the United States of America in 2004. Dennis Kucinich has worked tirelessly as the foremost advocate of progressive issues in Congress. As a vegan, he has been at the forefront on issues relating to the fair treatment of animals. Furthermore, his environmental and peace records are nearly untarnished. One of the strongest opponents of Missile Defense, he has presented before congress the "Space Preservation Act" during the previous two sessions of congress. Furthermore, he has previously voted to close down the School of the Americas(now known as the Institute For Security Cooperation, and to end the economic sanctions on Iraq. Lastly, he has constantly voiced his opposition to war on Iraq, and followed suit with an anti-war vote last October. Kucinich brings voters exactly the kind of trustworthy leadership this country needs. Top Contributors (2oo2) Kucinich Legislation PAC Contributions Kucinich in 2004! Hell, Anybody but Bush in 2004!

According to the KGB files they declassified, Champaign-Urbana was #3 on their sites that, if there was a nuclear war, they'd nuke. But I highly doubt that they'd send terror cells to a college, haha. They'd just end up getting drunk and smoking weed, lol

www.akpress.org Come get the International Terrorist shirt! It's a great alternative bookstore/media store. Bush is an International Terrorist!!!!!!!!!

Wow, OldRoman. You took one quote out of context and decided not to vote for him. Nice job.
-
Ah yes, Saddam's weapons that he used to kill the Kurds. You know who has the receipts for those? Rumsfeld. We had no problem when he was gassing the Kurds. So don't give me the "We need to save the Kurds" BS because the U.S. knew that he was doing it and gave him the weapons to do so. K Thx. This war is far from being about human rights.
-
Saddam does kill his own people, but then again, so do the UN Sanctions in Iraq. 500,000+ children dead. But what about all the dictators that killed more that we were in cahoots with and that we didn't try to stop? Pinochet, Chairman Mao, Roberto D'Aubuisson, et al. We trained and installed almost all these leaders into power so we didn't care that they killed people. If we are going to say that we are "wanting to bring human rights to the world" then why not start by putting Henry Kissinger on trial for his mass murders that he helped orchestrate or how about putting the CIA on trial for destabilizing governments all over the world and holding them accountable for the mass violence that occured afterwards.

SELL BILL! For the love of all that is holy, please f***ing sell!

Haha, yeah his gimmick is pretty bad, really bad.

Hey Baggs, I know we don't always agree politically. But it is always quite the pleasure to discuss political discourse with you because you know what you are talking about from the conservative standpoint. Unfortunately, there is a person who really isn't doing your cause too many favors.....OldRoman. Maybe he'll listen to a fellow conservative if you tell him that his hatemongering against which he doesn't understand isn't helping the conservative cause. Let's hear it for national health care though. Europe knows what they are doing with like 6 weeks of paid vacation and health care (what should be a basic human right here in the US instead of the disease industry we have). But I guess, since you agree with national health care, you might have to watch out for Old 'McCarthy' Roman labelling you a commie, haha. But seriously, Baggs, it's always interesting to debate. Simply because the college republicans here are nearly alcoholics, haha.
-
Just remember OldRoman's logic. The people in foreign countries have been brainwashed to hate us. These people do nothing but hate us and that is why they are poor. It is wrong for them to hate us. But it is perfectly okay for him to hate those people whom he knows nothing about. So, OldRoman, how do you condemn foreigners for hating the US without adequate information when you hate them without adequate information?
-
kipwellsfan, is that John Cena in your sig picture?
-
OldRoman, for I believe the 4th time, I am a DEMOCRATIC SOCIALIST. It's just like the government in Sweden. Wait wait wait. You are condemning any sort of discourse about blind patriotism and you have the f***ing audacity to call me a thug? See, OldRoman. There was another group of people who were blinded by nationalism and thought they had the right to intervene in any other country and destablize them to meet their own political means. We called them the Nazis. You might want to start grooming one of those little mustaches, OldRoman.
-
Don't you just love racial stereotypes? OldRoman, the U.S. actually has 8% of the world population and uses 40%+ of the world's wealth. That isn't right nor is it fair.
-
Awwww, I am getting OldRoman angry because I state the facts about the US. And here's a novel thought, pal. Don't read them! If you don't like it, don't read it. And yet OldRoman, you have yet to show one fact where my beliefs are in the wrong. And I do talk about baseball, obviously you haven't seen when I've been on SnR in the past via fan commentary or when I was actually on the show.

Jesse Jackson is a pompous assbag no better than Benny Hinn, John Hagee or any of those other preachers for profit. Too bad his son is stigmatized with the name when his son isn't that much like him at all.
-
I just got back on the boards a few minutes ago, I've been reviewing for my Balkan history class all evening. A democratically socialist state such as Sweden would be fantastic. National health care and the government takes care of people pretty damn well.

If the US invades, with the current plans for urban warfare, we are also in breach of UN Resolutions. The U.S. has also broken UN resolutions. In fact, the UN condemned our embargo on Cuba with a vote of 117-3. (Israel, US, and Uzbekistan or the Faulkland Islands, I can't remember the 3rd one) The U.S. has also allowed Israel to brake UN Resolution 242 link that asks for Israel to work towards peace etc. After it was passed, the US has vetoed 43 times to keep this from being enforced against Israel. If the U.S. invades Iraq with a unilateral attack, we break the UN Resolution of 1990. How can we b**** that a person is breaking UN Resolutions when our country is going to break one as well? Saddam is evil, yes. But there have been more bloodthirsty men that him in the past. Pinochet? Noriega? Oh wait, we were helping those guys. What about Chairman Mao? We never really tried that hard to overthrow him. How about Roberto D'Aubuisson? Wait, we trained him too. Pol Pot? No no, he killed millions of Cambodians but that was no matter to us. Hugo Banzer Suarez (Bolivia)? No, we trained and put him in power too. The U.S. has been in bed with some of the worst human rights abusers and has allowed the most bloodthirsty people to ravage their nations in the past. Why is this Iraq situation any different? Can anybody say "Wag the dog?" War presidents usually get re-elected. If there is no war, he might have to talk about the economy or the failing "War on Terror" or the fact that Ashcroft and Co. are stealing our civil liberties via the USA Patriot Act.
-
OldRoman, democracy actually asks people to get involved with their government. You might want to learn that there is a thing here called "FREEDOM OF SPEECH" so I can say near damn anything I like. I've said it once and I'll say it again....I don't need to pledge allegiance to a war to be patriotic. Pfft. Capitalism. We've seen where that got us. 41 million without heath care, high unemployment, unions being crushed, NAFTA moving jobs to Mexico for bigger corporate profits while the people who buy the goods in the US are unemployed, firings of workers while corporations are making record profits. Yeah capitalism is great. But it is pretty funny that you can't show me where my statements are WRONG. Everything I say about the United States is fact. Cold, hard fact. Like it or lump it, that's the United States. And OldRoman, tell me how I am hateful when I am part of the pacifist peace movement. I dislike warmongering a lot. I dislike it that my friend is in naval intelligence and he is over in country with his fiance because George W. Chickenhawk wants to be John Wayne instead of using diplomacy. I swear, if either of them come home in a box, I am going to worker harder than before on impeaching this son of a b****. Come on, OldRoman. Crack out the facts. Show me that I'm wrong when I say that the US lied about the Gulf of Tonkin incident to get us into Vietnam. Show me that I am wrong that the CIA sold cocaine to finance the Contra war. Show me I am wrong when our own Secretary of Defense admits to the want to use illegal weapons. Prove to me, using facts, that my statements about the U.S. are wrong instead of just calling me anti-American. And OldRoman, tossing around epithets like that, you really don't do your case any favors. Show me the facts that prove my assertions about the government wrong. Cuz remember everybody, Pledge Allegiance to the War! You're either with the President or you're Anti-American! It's just that simple!

Why? because he had the "sanburg swat" when he came near a ball he might make an error on? Or his joke of an arm, or terrible baserunning skills, and let's not forget the great team leader that f***s his team mates ex wife as soon as he gets into town. f*** ROYCE! ::stands up and claps:: I couldn't have said it better myself RPS.

Assuming we are going in there to disarm Saddam & if he has these weapons, he'll use them. I spoke to Doug Rockne before and he said that at the current state the chemical and biological protection suits are sub-par and that a chemical attack could decimate troops. Also, the US government has ordered 77,000 body bags (3 times more than Gulf War I). I think that IF Saddam has these weapons that we are forcibly going to remove, what is going to stop him from using them on US troops? And Baggs, the US war plans call for urban warfare. How are the citizens supposed to stay away from carpet bombing in their own cities? On a lighter note... CWSox, much appreciated. Freedom to express ideas is what this nation is based on. I guess expressing one's ideas is Anti-American. Haha. OldRoman
-
And you'll see thousands of civilians and U.S. military being slaughtered which will create a whole new generation of terrorists ripe for Osama's war against the West. ::hums:: It's beginning to look a lot like 1984. Endless, endless war.
-
Firstly, I am not a Communist. I like democratic socialism, but I am not a 100% advocate of it. But thanks again for using the ad hominem attacks. Show me where I hate America. I hate some of America's actions, but not the country. Thanks again for being such an avid supporter of blind nationalistic fascism, OldRoman.

Thousands of Americans died on 9/11. However, the CIA, Interpol, and world intelligence cannot find a link between terrorists and Saddam. If anything, the recent tape shows bin Laden calling Saddam an "infidel". OldRoman, once you see some of the horrible things that this nation has done. Ask your history teacher about COINTELPRO or our overthrow of Salvador Allende in Chile after which we installed Augusto Pinochet as dictator and he summarily slaughtered thousands of Chileans. (preferred method of killing was shooting them and burying them beneath the national stadium) Or in the 1980s, during the Iran/Iraq war, Rumsfeld and the U.S. sold weapons to both Iraq and Iran. Or my favorite, the CIA during the 1980s bringing cocaine into the US to help finance the Contra war in Nicaragua. I love this country which makes it all the more painful to see the horrible atrocities that we have committed. I see so much blood on our hands and those responsible won't be given the punishment they deserve (Just recently, Henry Kissinger was on TV talking about human rights. What a savage hypocricy that was) When you see the quagmire of human rights abuses we have committed in the names of "anti-communism", you'd be sick to your stomach. And it is not leftist radicals spouting these facts. It is former members of the CIA, the State Department, and Emeritus History professors amongst many others. I don't have to pledge allegiance to blind nationalism in order to be a patriot. Dissent is democratic. Peace is patriotic. That is what an American is.
