Please read the verdict from the Nuremburg Tribunals, pal. The Nazi defense was pre-emptive attacks to stop people from hitting them first. The justices condemned pre-emptive attacks as 'crimes against peace', the worst crime that can be committed. So Bush attacking a nation that has never attacked us is a war crime and his admittance to pre-emptive warfare condemns him to the verdict that the Nazi Reich got. He agrees with the Nazi mentality of pre-emption which has been condemned by international law. So, Bush is no better than the Nazis if we go to war with Iraq. Actually, our own CIA, Interpol and other intelligence organizations have tried their hardest to show links between 9/11 and Saddam. The CIA was even quoted in the NY Times saying that there were no verifiable ties between Saddam and Al Qaeda/ 9-11. So, our own government can't even find a link between Iraq and Al Qaeda. The tragic events of 9/11 do not give a carte blanch to the government to wage war wherever they feel especially when Colin Powell uses plagiarized info from a college student done in 1992 during his UN speech. If you can believe the lying bastard crew in office, be my guest. (And that plagiarism story was broken open by our ally, Great Britain and even made the BBC)
  2. Happy birthday, Matt (aka AsshatSoxFan)!
  3. Have you read "Murder In Dealey Plaza"? It is a very interesting read by various experts in the field of the JFK assassination and discusses the inconsistancies of Oswald being the killer. It's some pretty good stuff.

Actually there is debate that the 9 votes he'll need may be a problem because there are a lot of fence-sitters that seem to be leaning anti-war. We'll find out soon...but France holds veto power so a pro-war resolution won't see the light of day.
  5. Israel has stated that if they feel like they are going to be overrun, they will not hesitate to detonate nuclear devices.
  6. Raytheon was just on our campus for a job fair. We had a fun time asking them how they could spend $100 million for star wars and have the tests fail horribly every time unless they created the missile they wanted to track. The only way it works is if we make the missile and put a homing device in it. Also, 8 Nobel prize winning scientists and physicists have come out saying that Star Wars is an impossibility and won't work. It is a waste of American money.

And with that said, I can nearly officially come out and state that Bush is a war criminal and filling the boots of the Nazis if he goes ahead with this war (And yes, I do have the proof to back up the Nazi claim.) But did he have to mention 9/11 so many times? For a country that wasn't even involved with the perps of 9/11, he sure mentioned it a goddamn lot. Can we say "wag the dog"?
  8. Yeah, that about sums up what Fox decides to broadcast now. Fox is still, by far, the best network, but yeah, "Married By America" blows. If Fox is the best station, I will eat my f***ing hoodie.
  9. My more eloquent reasons can be found in books by Howard Zinn and William Blum that describe in great detail the anti-democratic acts of the CIA too numerous to mention in a concise post.
  10. This guy hit it right on the motherf***ing button. He was right on about Osama being a CIA plant and the CIA's dastardly tricks. f*** the CIA! Those government overthrowing sadistic anti-democratic f***s. They can eat my s***. :fyou CIA.
  11. Yeah, that about sums up what Fox decides to broadcast now.
  12. We violated University policy by sharing files with each other on the DC++ server. They said they didn't mind that we had the files but that we were sharing them in a way where any person on the internet could get them. So, they shut our internet off in a bunch of rooms all through the University that got busted. Basically we just had to unshare everything and the assistant dean turned our internet back on. I wouldn't worry about it unless you are at a school with a no public file sharing policy. That is what we got nailed for. But DC++ is like the best thing since sliced bread. It is sooooo goddamn awesome (well, maybe that is me with our T3+ connection here at school, haha.)
  13. Direct Connect++ does rule. We used it here at school....but got busted for copyright infringement for actually sharing the files.
  14. Because it's in style to be tough on crime and tough on drugs, so common sense and facts get thrown out the the window. Hell, look at the millions that agree with Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell...there are many idiots in the world that the sane people must drag kicking and screaming into what is right. LEGALIZE IT!
  15. I agree Wow, that is two things that CubKilla and I actually agree on. Anybody else know that today is the anniversary of Rodney King's filmed police brutality beating in 1991?
  16. The War on Drugs is a farce. There are many more things that should be cracked down on rather than marijuana. There are murders, corporate crime, etc. and the cops are worried about criminalizing youth for having a drug that has minimal physiological effect on a person. Legalize it!

  18. Political leaning I am a democratic socialist. Impeaching Bush makes a lot of sense if you read the articles about it. I basically don't like all the bulls*** that the one party state masquerading as a two party state tries to pull, favoring corporations and whatnot.
  19. She lives in a democracy where she can do this. One can also burn the flag if they so please. Hell, free speech is what is going to let me start a pretzel-gram at quad day in August asking Bush to step down and send him a pretzel with the letter, hehe. The flag represents freedom of expression and democracy. If we have tyrrany of the majority and don't allow her do to this protest, then we are no better than a dictatorship. She is also right in her views on Iraq and the impending war there. (Inserts anti-war views that essentially everybody here knows I have)
  20. Penn and Teller rule. And one of those "experts" is Hal Lindsey. That guy is a motherf***ing whack job. He said that the HIV positive character they were test running in Africa to teach children that they can be friends with people who have that disease was actually a rouse by "the liberal homosexual friendly media" to bring rampant homosexuality into American homes and convert all our children to homosexuality. (Like being a homosexual is a choice somebody makes?) The guy is a giant assbag baffoon cashing in as part of God Inc. for all the people stupid enough to pay his lame ass.
  21. The proposed war, according to international law, a pre-emptive U.S. attack is illegal. It violates the Nuremburg Tribunal, The Geneva Convention Protocol I, The Treaty of Westphalia, The U.N. Resolution of 1990, The Hague regulations on land warfare, the rules of civilians, the Hague Rules of Air Warfare, the 4 Geneva Conventions of 1949, the Genocide Convention, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, U.S. Army Field Manual 27-10 (1956), Article 2(4) of the U.N. Charter, the Kellogg-Brand Pact and I believe that is it. So, the proposed war is very illegal. (NOTE: I got these from impeachment articles written by Francis A. Boyle, former World Court lawyer and professor at the University of Illinois.)
  22. OK, since Murcie started his own picks section, I decided to do one also except just music choices. My first choice... "Like the Exorcist...but more breakdancing" by the band Murder by Death. This album is amazing. The guitar, drums, and cello are just fantastic. They are so damn addictive. I got their album from a friend of mine like a week ago and it has yet to leave my DiscMan. If you get a chance, their website www.murderbydeath.com has an mp3 of "I'm Afraid of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolfe" available for download. That song is so goddamn good. So many albums that I bought recently, it's hard to listen to them all but "Like the Exorcist..." is fantastic. Anybody else with some suggestions for some good non-mainstream bands worth checking out? I am always looking for new tunes.
  23. I think we all know the best Operation of WW II was "Operation Cold Douche" It was the name for a British bombing campaign.
  24. http://espn.go.com/mlb/news/2003/0227/1515302.html I wish we could have pitchers that could be just getting off a giant party and still throw perfect games.
