Rumor: White Sox made offer for Max Kepler
Kepler makes a ton of sense with 2 cheaper years of control. Good D and left handed with some pop. I don’t think he’s the 2019 offensive guy as I believe Marwin Gonzalez had a few hitting “tips” for his new Twin team that year. But he’s still be strong none the less.

Scratch That: Sox Interested in Wong...maybe...but Mariners Getting him
Only people who don't remember his vast injury history

Scratch That: Sox Interested in Wong...maybe...but Mariners Getting him
Seby is absolutely a sell high guy for me as well IF you could get something. I doubt you could though.

Scratch That: Sox Interested in Wong...maybe...but Mariners Getting him
Most of our "issues" with Wong here aren't the player, but rather the money allocation. If we truly only have ~15 million to spend.. Spending 10 million on a 2B, may not be the brightest idea

Your 2023 Off-Season Plan
Very meh for me. That is a horrendous A's trade and I don't really care for the Berti trade (non-believer here).

Scratch That: Sox Interested in Wong...maybe...but Mariners Getting him
I believe like only his rookie year

Cody Bellinger to the Cubs
I disagree and think we need a LH OF the most so that Eloy can move to primary DH and we can add some balance.

Scratch That: Sox Interested in Wong...maybe...but Mariners Getting him
This would be my preferred option. OF #1 by bigly amount for me

If we are only spending 15 million, I wouldn't love 10 million going to Wong.

Cody Bellinger to the Cubs
I don't think that sounds too crazy given his history and super strong 2021.

2023 MLB offseason signings and rumors thread
I don't believe you will get MLB players at the deadline as teams usually don't like to trade those though, while you could in the offseason. Dealing them for other MLB players would be a "re-tool". Dealing for prospects another rebuild

Pop-up BP arms 2023
Agreed. His stats alone make him appear like AAA fodder at best. I don't understand how he scores so highly on stuff if he can't strike anyone out lol

FA Strategy
I guess I am more so saying if we lose out on all other LF options (Conforto, Bellinger, Benintendi), then Frazier makes sense for 80 starts in LF and 40 at 2B. akak not set at a position.

FA Strategy
Adam Frazier makes a lot of sense as a 2B and LF. Could use him in a versatile role and has a LH bat and would come cheaper due to his down year

2023 MLB offseason signings and rumors thread
One of the Sox podcast had a Anderson + for Albies trade (trade simulator) and I can't say that I'd hate it. Anderson has 2 years left, Albies has 5 years at 7 mil per.

2023 MLB offseason signings and rumors thread
I really would love to try and get Alek Thomas. Apparently they're looking for big league ready pitching or right handed pop. I wonder if a Crochet + Ramos (works via simulator) would interest them?

Players non-tendered on 11/18 - Sox nontender Engel, Mendick, Payton
I'd be a really big fan of a Reyes signing.

Players non-tendered on 11/18 - Sox nontender Engel, Mendick, Payton
for sure

Favorite Sox jersey
2, 6, 4, 9, 7, 8, 5, 1, 3 okay bye now

Players non-tendered on 11/18 - Sox nontender Engel, Mendick, Payton
The Mendick non-tender is not surprising. I also would have non-tendered. I'd try to bring him back on a minors deal but his histroy + injury + our middle infield close to majors depth (Sosa, Yogurt, Rodriguez, Romy) make him expendable.

Cody Bellinger to the Cubs
Again, we can't solve everything if our owner only allows for a 180 million payroll. Some things will still be severely lacking when said and done.
-
Cody Bellinger to the Cubs
If we had more money to spend I'd love a better backup CF... But that's the problem... Maybe grab Engel on a minors deal if possible.

Your 2023 Off-Season Plan
At those contracts and prices, Cleinger is the ONLY one where I see some value.
