Think it's more of getting Profar into the lineup personally. I mean look at their infield.

Profar may be a better player than Mazara; I don't know.

But it's the 3 year of control that really disinterests me.

That's definitely part of it too. But it doesnt hurt to maximize his value infront of dozens of scouts including our own.

I think so. Darvish is going to command a huge amount of money plus they are strapped for cash apparently. Like I've said before though they need to make another move to bolster the lineup if they traded for Sale. Even though Prince was trash they have to replace him.

No interest in Gallo, we already have a guy with that skill set in Matt Davidson.

That's a horrible deal. Profar makes no sense for us at all due his limited control.

He can't headline a deal, sure, but he's very attractive IMO as the second piece, especially if you get Brinson back too.

Gallo has 80 grade power. He's on a different planet in terms of potential than Davidson.

That's a deal that won't get done right now, but I would do as well. Mazara is too much a piece of the Rangers for them to just ship him off now. At the end of the year, however....

Both are better young players than we have seen in a while, but I agree with the concerns over Profar's control.

 

I still contend that if Gallo is a young Dunn, that's a compliment, because Dunn was really good as a young player.
